Why not bringing up the topic of the Indian Hijras which are eunuchs in their old traditional culture up to now.
The beauty of Hijras shows the benefit of being a eunuch.

Re: Gay Eunuchs
Absolutely no objections to the Hijras as a topic... From the photos I've seen I'm not sure about their "beauty" but as the old saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the be(er)holder"
not to mention that they have a pretty low social status in India from what I've read... As eunuchs they are definitely on topic and appropriate.
I know there were a few discussions back on EAv2 that suggested not all of the Hijras were "consenting"

Re: Gay Eunuchs
I have to agree with Wheely that beauty isn't the way I would describe themLuvEunuch69 wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 8:56 am Why not bringing up the topic of the Indian Hijras which are eunuchs in their old traditional culture up to now.
The beauty of Hijras shows the benefit of being a eunuch.

But are they castrated? It seems that they're more of a drag queen.
There was a equivalent for some north amerindians. There were males that were considered women, and not eunuchs. They weren't castrated

According to everything I've read the Hijras are castrated. Not sure if orchie only, or full nullo though.

Re: Gay Eunuchs
One thing that is very different between EA-style voluntary eunuchs and hijras is most of us present as men, while hijras present as women. I know hijras are treated very badly.WheelyFixed wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:02 am According to everything I've read the Hijras are castrated. Not sure if orchie only, or full nullo though.
"While the third gender includes a few different groups in South Asia, the most common are the hijras. Hijras are often born male but look and dress in traditionally feminine ways. Many, but not all, choose to undergo a castration ceremony, removing their male genitalia as an offering to Hindu goddess Bahuchara Mata. Other hijras are born intersex."

Re: Gay Eunuchs
Actually from the posts I've seen on EAv2, we had a pretty wide range of presentations... Some seemed to want to present as 'all male' (straight or gay) but a lot said they were wanting some degree of feminizing and a more non-binary presentation. We also had many users that were doing a full binary M->F switch, but were active for a while as they got an orchie and then continued on with further transitioning.NaturalEunuch wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:39 am One thing that is very different between EA-style voluntary eunuchs and hijras is most of us present as men, while hijras present as women. I don't know if there have been any studies about presentation and how we divide up, (Paging Jesus...

Thanks for the link, it is an excellent summary for an initial understanding....NaturalEunuch wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:39 am "While the third gender includes a few different groups in South Asia, the most common are the hijras. Re: Gay Eunuchs
I do recall a number of MtF members at EAv2. Over here, I'm not seeing much happening in the transgender section (one thread total). I agree that the split between straight and gay seems about even.WheelyFixed wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 11:07 am I don't know if there have been any studies about presentation and how we divide up, (Paging Jesus...) but my guess is that 'all male' might be a majority, but only a small one. I'd also guess that we are much closer to an even split between Straight, Bi and Gay....

Re: Gay Eunuchs
I don't recall us really having much of a specific TG section on EAv2, at any rate most of the discussions happened in the main areas...
My opinion is that a TG person wanting an orchie is largely going to want the same sorts of support and advice we would give any other person, but I'd actually tend to advise them to go to other more full binary focused sites for advice on feminizing and other transition related questions... Not because of any problems with them, but simply because I think they would probably get better advice and expertise on their needs...

Re: Gay Eunuchs
There is some crossover, i.e. orchies, but this forum is about everything eunuch…that's our expertise. I agree there are tons of trans websites, podcasts, blogs, etc., that better serve that market. For eunuchs, this is ground zero.WheelyFixed wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 2:00 pm I don't recall us really having much of a specific TG section on EAv2, at any rate most of the discussions happened in the main areas...

Re: Gay Eunuchs
Thank you for the link! Of course it had to be the British to mess up a centuries-long tradition. I'm glad to know positive progress is being made as of late. If I may ask the thread, we've had male eunuch, MtF eunuchs, non-binaries, have we ever had an hijra proper in the forums?NaturalEunuch wrote: Tue Mar 04, 2025 8:39 amOne thing that is very different between EA-style voluntary eunuchs and hijras is most of us present as men, while hijras present as women.
