support punky

Post by cronoserge (imported) »

i have been reading the Bord's and it seems as punky is depressed and suicidal she is strong, shitheads like me deserve to die not pioneers like her. BTW suicide is worthless, had a friend commit it and i attempted it. all it leads to is more fucked up people.

I like punky too. But this may well be what she wants. She felt threatened here. I can't tell you if any of that was valid (though it certainly was to her.) I think (just guessing) it has more to do with the chat side, than the forums. I don't get involved much with the chat side of things.

Either way, I wish her well. I hope she stays well, and finds what she needs.

I don't claim to speak for her, but we are in similar situations. Punky has always been very down to earth and I have confidence in her that she will get help for her depression. Perhaps coming here is adding to it and she needs a break? Also people do move on. Dating way back to my old IRC days, eventually all chatrooms or forums eventually reach a point where the membership rolls over and they change.

It may just be that she has gained all she can from here and it's time to move on. Or maybe she will be back? Either way I wish her strength and good fortune.

I enjoy punky. But this sounds awfully thin-skinned.

Punky had the bad habit of looking for trouble on every thread. She enjoyed finding faults where none existed.

Yes that is unfortunate but she does have a thing for taking everything said as personal, very thin skinned when it did not need to be so. I too hope she returns but members do come and go.

When an outspoken person suddenly becomes quiet... There is bound to be some surprise over the horizon. --So as they say on the ranch about both people and animal persons.

I miss Ms Punky. I disagreed with her not infrequently, but I hugely admire her bulldog-like commitment to what she believed. But it is clear that she has problems with anger. Any disagreement was met with a hostile onslaught. And it became increasingly clear that too much of that anger was aimed at herself. That is a dangerous situation. I have been to too many funerals of trans people who turned their anger inward and self-slaughtered. Hopefully, she will not go that far.

Not sure if she is depressed or a drama queen.

The two are not mutually exculsive. And besides every trans person I know, including myself, is a bit of a drama queen. Goes with the territory. And remember that suicide is the ultimate drama for us drama queens.
