Why is the EA clock at least 12 minutes fast?

Don't know? But I have it pegged to about 7.5 minutes. I've looked around in the backroom and can't seem to find any settings that would affect it.

I suspect that the computer that the EA is run on has its clock set wrong. On my computer, I use a program called StatBar. One of the things it does is reset my computer's clock every 30 minutes (this is adjustable) using one of the internet time servers (ntp.xs4all.nl). I think that there are many different time setting programs. Maybe the person in charge of the EA computer can install one of those programs when he or she has time.

Our program is run on a large server somewhere in the world with a fairly large company - unless mistaken, I think we are located in the Netherlands, although they have locations around the world. I am sure they check their time. We have had problems of various natures with VB before. A note of inquiry to them should likely be of more help.

It allows us to see a future now.

Immutable and unchanging,

unless someone edits I guess.

http://csg.trinhall.cam.ac.uk/tips/ntp/winxp - that is the process for Windows XP, just choose proper NTP server, client is integrated.

For win2000, looks like it can be done with windows own tools, but there is no shiny GUI :).

I simply figured that the EA clock was running on sidereal time at some drifting longitude.
