Cutting off your nose(inspite of your face): mutilation
Cutting off your nipples: mutilation
Cutting of your foot: mutilation
Cutting of your balls just for the hell of it: mutilation
But that is the point. I can only speak for one eunuch, myself, and others will have to tell you their opinions. I did NOT have myself castrated "just for the hell of it". What is so hard to understand about that? I have had libido problems all my life, and wanted to end that problem. I now have "The Eunuch Calm". It was not just "for the hell of it".

Did I say YOU Andy are doing it for the hell of it?
It's not something for you to take personally.
I'm talking about the many other people here that want their balls chopped off because it's "erotic", etc.
Capice?

jab (imported) wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2002 5:16 am So? Tattoos are mutilation, piercings are, even coloring your hair is a form of temporary mutilation.
I'm still a fence-sitter on the topic as far as my body parts are concerned, but you speak of modifications as if they're bad things.
Eisenhower had his appendix removed, voluntarily and without medical need, because he could NOT have a common infection incapacitate him during a battle, and appendicitis was common enough to be a concern. Was that mutilation? Sure. Was it justified? Yup.
Just because it's not to my tastes doesn't make it evil. It might make it something that *I* don't like, or that I don't want to look at, but that's a reflection on my choices and tastes, not someone else's.
(Personally, I believe that modifications/looks that you force onto others, to push their buttons, are boorish and dumb. That goes double for the creep in the Nazi SS outfit, with the swastika armband, who trots around the S/M events from time to time. Thanks, but go push someone else's buttons for a while.)

Jeez, Jab, you sure took my posts out of context.
Since when did I bring up piercings and tatoos?!
Don't grasp at straws, dude.
Lol.

Sheesh.I don't want my cock and balls chopped off in any erotic manner. They never belonged on my body and I want them removed by a qualified surgeon. My underwear is in a bind over those unwanted parts and not over your humble views.
Re: Dreams (or nightmares) about castration
The only thing that's about to get MY underwear in a bind, XXX, is your attitude in some of your replies. Settle down, play nice, or get the hell out.
Several members offer you advice, in a thread that YOU started about your nightmares, and you turn around and snap back at them.
Take it easy, or I'll have Andrew let Pearly loose on you.

Re: Dreams (or nightmares) about castration
Just a clarification, herein.
My post wasn't taking anyone to task, just using a very black-and-white delivery to say that it's all modification, even the little stuff that people admit to on Jay Leno's show, and so we're not talking about whether modification is good/bad/scary/fun, but how MUCH modification is good/bad/scary/fun.
I personally think that the fill-my-tits-with-saline-until-they-pop look is really gross, and hardly nice to women, but Hollywood seems to like and reward it.
I also think that the "paint an actor with loads of fake tattoos for this role or that one, but try to give the actor the 'bad boy' persona in interviews to imply that they're real tattoos'' routine is a bit old.
And I definitely think that the asshole who trots around certain S/M events in full Nazi garb with jew-slave in tow (and I mean it, a slave dressed in Auschwitz garb), is simply going for the "push the buttons of the on-lookers" scenario, which is boorish.
So my thoughts are:
1. If your look/self-image revolves around the idea of "look how much I can make other people uncomfortable", keep away from me. (This goes for people who dye their hair strange colors just to have the experience of shouting at people, "what are you staring at?" -- especially in San Francisco, where I live. Sheesh.)
2. If your look/self-image revolves around "this is who I am, I won't be invisible, but won't be a threat/disruption to people who, otherwise, wouldn't care", have at it.
(The generic gay counterpart to these is that many gay people think that a comment about public sex is an anti-gay comment, when in fact it's often intended as an anti-public-sex comment. While reasonable people can disagree on whether public sex is a good/bad thing, it's important to agree on what you're disagreeing on.)
Here's the part that everyone who goes out into public might want to read, and not take as directed to any single individual:
Do I have the choice of how YOU present yourself? Of course not.
But I do have the choice of whether to answer your questions when you ask me the time of day, how to get to the Ferry Building, where a good place to eat is, whether I know of any good jobs you might want. I have the choice to withhold information and assistance at times that are very inconvenient to you.
So don't pretend you live on an island.

What are you talking Paolo?!
My attitude?!
I thought I'd put some people on the defense, but, KNEE JERK reactions?! PUH-LEASE.
Have I called any one names? NO.
I've been extremely level-headed.
So I'm not the only one that needs to lighten up...
Capice?
