Been reading a lot of your posts for quite some time and I have been pretty amazed at the support that you all provide each other, pretty good stuff. Any way almost a year ago I injured my left testicle in an accident. It has not healed properly and has left me in a lot if pain and if I do anything like walk for more than 5 minutes it starts to tighten up and starts to feel like I have been kicked there. I have been trying everything that the doctors have suggested ie wearing a jock strap although when I do after a few hours it starts to feel like I have been kicked in the balls and the bad testicle swells. I am really at the point where I don't know what to do about this pain it's gotten to the point where it is ruining my life and I cannot do the things that I want to do. At least I know that on here people will understand this because no one else in the world seems to. Thank you all for listening

If it's giving you problems and there's no chance of it recovering just get rid of it, it aint no biggie One testicle should serve you well with no real issues. I think I'm right in saying that apart from the fact that it's gone, your fertility, your testosterone levels, ability to have erections etc should stay the same as with two balls. I personally wouldn't have a silicon implant because who knows what having window sealer inside of your body is going to do. Best wishes

Thanks, although my urologist does not seem like he wants to take it out. He has put me on naproxen, meloxicam and norco. I tend to agree with you about removing it I don't have any reservations about removing it.

You did not say the nature of your injury , but certainly , if it hasn't healed, and you are still having serious pain, a prudent urologist would at least entertain removal. Being dosed with the mixture of drugs you are taking is absurd. Seek out another urologist and preferrably a woman.

My advice would be to see a urologist who is part of a large practice. There is much more pressure on them to generate revenue, so they will be more open to a surgical cure. Its really sad that no matter how much pain a patient experiences , so many urologists are resistant to any possibility of removing a testicle.

Good luck in your healing, and finding a long term solution to the pain. I understand it all too well, been there done that.

I second Raymar's advice. Get a second opinion. If drugs don't stop your chronic pain, then an orchiectomy might be advisable. Has your physician done an ultrasound to try to determine the cause of the pain?

Raymar's right. I haven't been better since I lost my misbehaving nuts. It was hard to find anyone who would think of removing the obviously painful and non-functional. Such, I guess, is medical peer-pressure. When finally I did, I felt better soon after -and remained that way.

I also tried the NSAIDs, antibiotics and just wasted uncomfortable time.

There weren't so many female urologists then, but it seems they may be more receptive to such requests. Good luck finding a nice one!

An ultrasound and pain medication are typically the protocol to first determine if removal of the testicle is warranted or not. If the pain is chronic and severe enough and drugs do not alleviate it, then surgery is the next step. You need to find a sympathetic urologist who is willing to remove it.

why is that doctor think they always know best, its simple nut=pain so just get rid you will feel so much better having one is fine my brother has one and there is no difference he feels the same its only when you become a eunuch like many of us on here that you find changes, as for a false one why bother?

Thanks I have an appointment with my urologist in a few weeks so I will tell him I need it gone

Hummm... I had similar problems with pain before I had the boys removed. My doc first suggested a jock strap, you are right, that's no solution. I accidently stumbled across a solution. I bought a pair of women's bikini bottoms, one size too small, on purpose. It worked. holding the junk up and inside where they were cushioned by my body.

Now that the boys are gone (removed surgically due to cancer) I still wear the bottoms every day, this time to hold the nasty sack up and away. The doc won't take the sack off, I'm looking for one who will. Meanwhile, I have a nice collection of colorful bikini bottoms, and wear them all the time. They in fact help to hold everything nicely in place, and look rather nice. I tuck Willy down where the boys were, and he loves to rest in his hammock! lol

In my case, it was likely due to my vasectomy. After the tubes were tied, the body tends to reabsorb the sperm. In my case, it did not, and the stuff built up. Ultimately became cancerous. Removal was my only option. The first surgery the doc removed only the 'mass", but biopsy showed total removal was warranted. Took two more surgeries and I developed a nasty hematoma and abscess, that was surgically removed. What's left of the sack, that the butcher doctor who relieved me of the balls, is an ugly mess. The skin does not lie normal, and very uncomfortable. Thus holding everything tight with the bikini bottoms is the best solution until I can find a way to pay for elective surgery to smoothen things out.

No pain. Just an ugly scar and floppy skin. I am so happy to be rid of the boys, however.

Nice! Do you take hrt or anything since the surgery?

Yes, I am on Testopel T-pellets that are inserted jist under the skin. Renew every 4 months. They are working great, and I feel great. Only downside is I have to donate blood about every two monthe to reduce red blood cells.
