male 2 eunuch transition

Post by jgbillingham (imported) »

I've been confused about my gender for some time now. I'm 50 years old and gay, I identify myself largely as mid gender and aspire to being surgically castrated. Somehow I feel that chemical castration isn't for me and that I can directly benefit from gaining the attributes (along with the drawbacks) of surgical castration. I'm also Vegan so very wary of the potential animal ingredients of any medicines.

Process wise I am past the initial consultation stage at the the Gender Identity Clinic

Hi and welcome!

I´m glad that you are being on treatment already. Seize the advantage of having a near gender clinic. We all are different. I don´t consider myself as a man. If I put in a scale my Identity It would be 0% man and %50% woman or so.

keep post your progress.

In medical terms you are what is called a Male-to-Eunuch trangendered person. Your actual diagnosis the way things are today, assuming you get an actual diagnosis, would likely be Gender Dysphoria - Not otherwise specified. The simple truth is that we male-to-eunuchs are not fully recognized in the DSM V at this point, though work is happening towards that goal. Good news is we're at least mentioned in the book for the first time in a section stating the subject needs more study. It's not great, but it's a start.

You are working with a gender identity clinic and I think that is an excellent place for you to be. I have a doctor therapist I've been working with here in the US that has been helping me with the issues surrounding male-to-eunuch transgenderism. At the moment, I am working with a doctor to start bringing service to our community here in the US. It's a slow roll, and it is going to be expensive (though depending on what you're wanting the price will vary).

When you say you're past initial consultation stage, do you mean you've had one visit or has it been a series of visits and now you're progressing along your path? I was a bit confused as to where you are. As far as ingredients, once you know the drug and the manufacturer you should be able to sort out animal byproducts through online searches and/or looking at the potential side effects of the drug. Sometimes its hard to decipher, at least with drugs in the US, I'm not sure about the UK.

If you wish, feel free to get in touch with me. You and I are on a similar path, and I'm a bit further down the road than you appear to be at this time. I'd be glad to help you with insight into what's ahead.

Thank you for your interest, I have had one consultation so far, the consultants view was sceptical and I was asked to return 6 months later, June this year. I hope to be in possession of a more convincing argument for my needs by then.

It sounds to me like you've encountered a person who doesn't understand that gender isn't binary. A lot of folks in the TG community cannot understand us. I actually had the gay male partner of an FtM tell me that I wasn't male to eunuch (MtE), but that I was Male to special little snowflake when I approached them. He was quite rude about it. A lot of people just can't see beyond the binary and that people exist that fall between, for example guys like us that simply want to be without guy parts but otherwise be male.

I'm not sure you'll need a more convincing argument as you and I are what we are, though you might need a different therapist. Mine understood immediately what I was going for and why I was speaking with him. If you're convinced this is who you are, I'd go back and ask to speak to a different therapist.

An interesting point, there's a high chance that I'll see another Consultant at my June appointment so I'll leave that unsaid, it is possible that I wasn't as clear as I could have been during my last consultation due to nerves at a highly challenging consultation, perhaps now that I think I know the beast and that I understand myself better, I may be able to get further

I'm glad to be here if you would like to ask questions. I've been down your road, though it sounds like I'm a bit further along. It's a difficult thing to navigate, but you'll get there. Just remain confident, and know what your destination is.

I've been working this for over 20 years now, and am just now getting to where I want to be. Hopefully it will be quicker for you.

Thank you so much for this, Losethem. It's taken me a while to figure out that i am, as you said, a MTE transgender person. i finally realized that gender expression ("masculine" in my case) doesn't have to match gender identity (MTE in my case). That should have been obvious, i suppose, but it was a revelation to me. Now that my partners are on board, etc., i'm trying to get the logistics arranged to make the outside fit what's inside as soon as possible.

Losethem is right on the money, I know with me once I was cut, I was finally who I was always meant to be.

No regrets.

Everyone is welcome. I do have a path for those who want things done, though you'll have to come up with quite a bit of cash. However it's an all-encompasing path (Penectomy, castration, or nullification... all variations of MtE). At this point I'm not ready to start making recommendations to others, but I think that will be coming over the summer this year. I have to get further information before I feel confident making referrals, and when that time comes I will ONLY be making referrals for those folks I think are sincere and serious.

I won't burden these doctors with those people who are rubbing their dicks raw if I can avoid it. Fair warning: If you are a fantasy person, don't even think about contacting me about this. I've been around this community for 2-decades online (basically from the start) and I've figured out how to smoke you guys out. If you are into fantasy (which in and of itself is fine) and you contact me regarding this doctor, I'll stomp you flatter than a steamroller. I'm not willing to risk the first FULL SERVICE legitimate physician for the eunuch community for you to get a few moments of self-gratification.

I think it has been said there are as many genders as there are members here, probably more. A further complication is that we don't get up every day feeling the same about ourselves -again, probably just as well.

The counselor -if non-binary states are understood at all- sees us infrequently, and expects us to be the same as noted on the last visit. We each have a spectrum.

For example, though I am a content surgical E, Internally I indentify mostly as what I am but on a range between M and M2N. As time goes by the center of the range shifts over the years towards the M2N end.

WE may have our wishes and troubles, but so has the counselor!

That is true, but a counselor has two things they will be doing.

1. Covering their own ass. I get why they do that, I have a professional license myself and you'd be amazed at how many people think a professional license = you must be God like or I'm suing. Grandma has sniffles, sue. Little Bobby got the measles because the partents didn't vaccinate - sue, clearly it was the medical establishments fault.

2. Working to see that the patient before them isn't crazy and knows what they're asking or navigating through. You have to know a lot about yourself before you can get a counselor to take you seriously.

My recommendation is find a good counselor. This doesn't mean rounds of counselor shopping, but be sure you don't waste your time with family therapists when what you need is one that works routinely with gender non-conforming people, which is what we are no matter where we fit on the spectrum of gender. While any of the latter can be useful, my recommendation is to find one that isn't transgendered themselves. For some odd reason the TG therapists who are TG themselves can't see beyond the gender binary. I've been ignored, hung up on, etc. by those folks because I didn't set myself up as desiring a male to female change. I was up front with them. It may seem like a waste of time, but I actually prefer them to hang up on me than to string me along - Go for the NO! It tells you that you need to move on to a different person.

A person wanting to use the resource I have identified MUST get a letter of support from a qualified therapist. As a matter of fact, I won't even talk to you if you've not taken that step. I'm happy to make a referral, but I also need to know the person isn't wasting the doctors time. I can speak of generalities (IE potential cost, etc.) but I will not put you in contact until you have the letter. Hopefully that will make it clear.

Short version is there is now a resource for folks who want more than castration (IE penectomy or full nullo). Let's not fuck it up.

Wise words. The resources in US are scant in this area, and truly precious.

The road to getting appropriately nulled seems a little better, but only with care to guard the resource.
