📢 NEW SURVEY – Usefulness of the WPATH Standards of Care

A research study from the University of Hawai‘i is now open for participation.

🧪 The study explores how the WPATH Standards of Care v8 – Eunuch Chapter has supported individuals in accessing gender-affirming medical or surgical care (e.g., orchiectomy, penectomy, nullification).

📝 Participants are invited to complete a completely anonymous 30-minute survey to share their experience. No personal information is collected.

📚 The results will contribute to a medical journal article and help improve access and care for the Eunuch community.

Glansectomy

Post by TheRagingEunuch »

Have any of you considered or have you had a Glansectomy? What is your opinion of this procedure? I was nearly given one at birth, but it was reconsidered.
To the best of my knowledge, I became the first Eunuch & Fellator Disk Jockey in 1969.

I would not have forgiven my parents if they had done that to me as a baby

As I understand it from your previous posts, you were born "intersex" (correct me if I'm wrong!) I'm FAR from expert on the topic, but as I understand it, part of being intersex often includes problems w/ the entire urinary tract that can mean some surgical intervention is needed to enable the child to urinate at all... In addition it at least used to be considered the best approach for treatment was to try to patch the kid up enough to at least look like 'standard binary' - since it is "easier to dig holes than build towers" most often that meant making the kid female looking - a glansectomy could be part of that, for obvious reasons... Fortunately as I understand it, the practice has shifted to doing only what is 'medically necessary' to keep the child healthy until they grow up to an age where they can make their own decisions about what is 'right' for them.

From the little I've read, it seems there are more or less four reasons for the procedure...

1. Dealing w/ intersex issues - see above...

2. Treatment of cancer or similar issues -

3. The same sorts of issues that make us seek castration, nullification, etc...

4. "Kink" motivations, BDSM, CBT, and so forth...

I see 1 and 2 as a case of medical need, so presumably not a choice...

3 should get the same sort of consideration as any of our other desired procedures (and personally I'm not interested...)

4 is pretty much the same reasoning as looking to get castrated for kink reasons, namely bad idea since you only get to do it once....

From what I was told I was born with "deformed" testicles which were removed to avoid future medical issues. I was in fact raised with the knowledge that I was in fact a "Eunuch/Male". As they say, you don't miss what you never had, and being different didn't bother me much. Later on, I did receive implants. Life goes on.

Thanks for the clarification... I sort of see the same thing in the wheeler world, the kids that were born with disabilities have far fewer issues with being stuck in a chair than those of us that were injured as adults and know about all the things that they lost...

Either way if you are happy with the way you are, that is the important thing...

Does any parent do that their children? Or are you speaking about circumcision? Because glansectomy is the removal of the penis gland (head).

When my sexual repression was at it's highest point, yes, I thought of doing it. It would be a self inflicted punishment. I was really messed up. Today, I think that there's a 10% chance of ever doing a glansectomy or partial penectomy. It depends on how sexually active I'll be.

Not to mention the pain. I consider myself fortunate to have never had to deal with this "SEX" BS.

May I ask if you're virgin? I am, and that's a shame to me.
