Hey, I'm Mars. I've been toying with the idea of becoming a chemical eunuch for a long time. I like the idea of having control over my libido but I'm also concerned about the usual issues: loss of strength, weight gain, hot flashes, etc.
If there's anyone who has good advice for living healthily as a low test eunuch, I'd like to hear it.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You have legitimate concerns but mostly they are manageable, though unfortunately the current situation in regards to eunuchs in the UK can make it harder to get medical parts of it handled... However generally 'living healthy' will handle a lot of them to a large degree....marsma wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 1:59 pm Hey, I'm Mars. Loss of strength is real, but not as bad as many fear if you continue to exercise and be active in general. Similarly you'll need to watch your diet more, but sticking with a low carb regimen and watching the calories (plus exercise) will minimize it. Hot flashes vary a lot with how bad they are for different people, but most everyone finds that they go away after a few weeks or months, especially if you do any sort of supplemental hormone (which also helps with the strength issue)
One you didn't mention that I harp on a lot is bone strength... Osteoporosis is a definite concern, especially if not doing replacement hormones. I generally suggest getting a bone density scan before getting fixed as a baseline, and then doing repeats for monitoring every 2-3 years or as often as insurance will pay for it... It also helps to do a high dose Vitamin D3 and calcium supplement (preferably calcium citrate based)
I hope others can also add their suggestions to this.

Congratulations. It's an awesome feeling to no longer be a slave to your libido!marsma wrote: Thu Mar 13, 2025 1:59 pm Hey, I'm Mars. - Loss of strength is less of an issue for adults who are castrated. You already have your "man" strength. I still feel about the same after two years.
- Managing your weight is mainly about self-discipline. Eat healthy in appropriate quantities and you'll be alright.
- Hot flashes are annoying but they go away after a while. I remember very few hot flashes in the daytime. For me, almost all of them came when I was in bed. I'd overheat, kick the covers off, get cold, pull the covers back on.

Hello! Welcome to our forum!
The strength issue is my biggest fear too. I do many manual labor and I'm proud of endurance with my peers. That's why I might only do it at older age, when I suppose I won't need to do too much strength.
