I asked about scrotum removal when I was castrated last September. My urologist said he would reduce the scrotum as part of the surgery. He added that a scrotum removal is considered cosmetic and Medicare and my supplemental wouldn't cover it. My goal was to be castrated and it was accomplished along with much of my scrotum removed. I figure if I still wanted the rest removed I'd weigh the cost and see if I still wanted it gone. It's small enough that it doesn't even come close to hanging below my 2" penis. Now 8 months later I hardly give it a thought anymore. I'm a contented eunuch and will live comfortably with what's left of my scrotum.

Just found a plastics-urology doc near DC to take all the scrotum for a tight closure. Wanted this for a while after the castration. Due to go in just over a month. It seems that the price is $1500-2000, about 1 1/2 hours surgery and lots of stitches to come out after 10-14 days. Seems that he does not take insurance.

Can't wait to get it done now. After healing it will be good to be with just a dick and nothing else.

I'll let everyone know how it goes.

My surgeon would not remove all of my scrotum because of the elasticity could cause it to be uncomfortable at times. So I was left with about an inch hanging down. I read on this site about Bio-Oil so I Google it to find out it's use for women stretch marks after giving birth. I starting using it and I say over a period of a year I am smooth now. I still use the oil from time to time. It can be purchase at Walmart, Walgreens and the internet.

Don't know about Walmart snake oil. Maybe it works.

My recent advice is that you need enough skin left to make the join in the middle without tension that would prevent healing.

It seems therefore that all scrotal skin from root of dick to just in front of anus is to go.I am told that as long as I do not put too much tension on the early healing, there should be no trouble. I'm a little concerned that the long incision may be temporarily uncomfortable for sitting and much else besides. We'll see.

Well, just went for the pre-procedure medical check, and all seems now in place to get this done in the next month.

It's hard to find someone here who will actually do these things.....

Scheduled for July 25. I've wanted this done for more than a while now.

Any thoughts from anyone who has already "been there and done it"?

-Anything in particular to ask for, to avoid?

Yesterday was the day for regular T injection, but I deliberately did not take the shot. I'm concerned that a firm erection may disrupt the surgery for a "tight" removal of the scrotum at the end of the month.

Everything feels much the same, but I expect that in a week or so, I'll feel definitely low-T. This T-cypionate hangs around for a long time so it may have been stopped only just in time.

While I don't much like returning to the flashes (not that bad really), I am hoping that the rest of zero T will feel as good as it did a few years back.

I think you're far too worried about it. It's not likely to happen.

I stopped taking my T about a week before my penectomy, but that was to minimize nocturnal erections after the surgery to avoid upsetting the sutures on my corpus cavernosa stumps. Not sure if it worked or not, but it certainly didn't harm anything.

Still on track for July 25, and no T for nearly 2 weeks but nothing much seems different yet. T-cypionate seems to hang around a long time.

With travel and the fee, this is not going to be cheap. Can't help wondering what Dr V in Thailand (above in this thread) would ask for the job!

Here's link to Dr V's pricelist. (Dr A in Michigan seems a little more!) http://doctorthep.pl.tl/PROCEDURES-AND-PRICES.htm

I was wondering if you had any info on Doctors on the east coast who perform castration and scrotum removal. I am in Canada, near the Maine border and would gladly travel for the procedure.

I think that I'll keep advice until its done -just a week and some to go. One never knows until after.

-But I will tell you that all I did was a google search for plastic surgeon and genital and named states. This brought up a few. Some were clearly very "odd" and I found out as much as I could about the remaining ones. Then I called them. Then I decided. Hope I got it right!

Still off the T, now nearly 3 weeks. Not a lot of difference so far, but possibly less hard.

I guess there's not much news now until the appointment.

Now 3 wks no T, and 1 wk before surgery. Mild flash today, and no erections for most of a week. I feel good, and much like I remember from no T last time. It is a comfortable state.

More postings when more news.

I'm confused. Are you going to Thailand? The website you provided is Thailand or am I wrong? If you are going to Thailand and you've always been interested in nullification, why aren't you getting it done? You're not getting younger.

No, going to Mid-Atlantic to get it done. The Dr V site is interesting in that he has done so many katoeys and is so cheap. I think that if/when I get nulled, it would be by someone more like Dr Suporn or Dr Chetawut in Thailand. There are many times that I'd like it done, but I must be sure that both I and my partner really want it. It may well happen, but not right now.

Today is the day! We all wish you well. I know I'm not alone in being very interested in your reports of how the surgery went and how the healing process is progressing. It will probably take some time before you can say for sure if your'e satisfied with the aesthetic results.
