When was castration right for you ?
I am curious about what other voluntary eunuchs feel about the timing of their castrations, too soon, too late, just right. I was nutted 6 weeks ago at 30 but wish I could have been cut sooner. In hindsight I feel that I kept my balls too long and should have found a way to get get them cut off 10 years ago. I think for me the ideal time would have been at puberty then I could have developed as a castrato instead of as a male. Modern circumstances mean that young males that want to become eunuchs usually have a long wait before they can have their desire. If I had been more determined about it I could likely have been neutered in my early twenties but got there in the end.

Although not technically a eunuch I would go and get done at about your age or mid 20's.
I know this would be different if I were seeking a transition.

Re: When was castration right for you ?
Although still being intact, I'd say my modifications will be done way too late. I'm now 43 and from today's point of view I think something between 16 to 20 would have been a good age for my nullification. Even though I would appreciate it very much to have a hair free body, I like to have a more or less male looking body. So going without T and looking somehow like a eunuch wouldn't have been an option for me.
One thing were the missing possibilities for surgery, but it also took time until about my mid 20's to accept my feelings. There was simply too little information available in my youth (or even no information at all), otherwise I probably would have discovered as a teenager already that I want to be a nullo.

Hi TvK, I'm with you, nullification at 16 - 20 would have suited me perfectly. Back then I used to fantasize about having my entire genitalia taken off with a single stroke from a razor. I would also like to keep an otherwise male body but without any body hair, fortunately mine is fine and blonde and I hope that now that I am castrated it will gradually disappear.

I feel at 35 I was castrated at about the right time. Enough life experience to know if I'd be missing anything by losing my genitals or not. Sex was good intact, but I like it better now as a nullo. My body is finally right. I was first castrated, then 10 years later had my penis and scrotum removed. If they grew back, I'd get them taken off again.
I take testosterone, so have copious amounts of body hair, but I'm not sure it would go away without it.

Interestingly it seems most eunuchs wish they had been cut earlier, often a lot earlier. It shows up the difficulty in getting cut holds back many would be eunuchs.
Me? Should have been cut 30 years ago.

I was cut just before turning 22 and realistically I would be in a much better spot if it was done 6 ~ 12 months earlier. I was long ready for it and my dysphoria was just becoming destructive and consuming. Idealistically, such evils would have never attached to my body.

I feel like that it could be good now at 23. But if it happened before, perhaps it could have been better...

I was castrated at 23, I'm 26 now. It took me a year or so adjust but the way I feel now I'd say ideal for me would have been 18 - 25. Easy to say when looking back but I feel an early castration would have been fine for me.

There's an easy answer in my case: I am a non-binary transgender, and as many transgender I also felt different in my youth already. That's the reason for seeking modification quite early. I never really identified as male, but also not as female.

It has been a while since I posted. I am back! I was 55 am 59 now, wish I had been bale to have it done at before I was born! But really decades ago. Iam either getting older or there seem to be many young eunuchs around EA these days.

Welcome back, nice to hear from an experienced eunuch. From what I've read recently it seems easier for wannabe eunuchs to get cut now than it was 10 or 20 years ago.

I became a eunuch at 57. Looking back, I should have been castrated instead of my vasectomy after our last child was born, when I was 39. Only after my libido tanked did my wife say she never liked penetrative sex. Would have eliminated a lot of frustration if done earlier.

Your vasectomy probably did castrate you. It just took the long way of doing it. Seems like a certain percentage of vasectomies do end up wrecking men s balls in one way or another. For those men it is a slow way to getting castrated.
But once you don t need sperm for making babies, castration and artificial T might be an option to take the faster method to reach the same final gelding.

Re: When was castration right for you ?
It seems like drs can keep claiming vasectomies are not castrating some men because of timing. Its about the timing of when most men get their vasectomies and the ages when many men s testicles tend to begin to slow down from age and their natural age caused ball problems usually start to show up. Then its tough to say or prove if age or vasectomy problems are causing their testicle problems.
Many men get their vasectomies done in their 30s and 40s. Then, it takes most men who will be gelded by vasectomies a number of years, some much faster, some longer, for it to reach obvious testicle failures. That often happens in men s late 40s and older. So drs can blame many of the vasectomy castrations on the man s age and his balls naturally slowing down or malfunctioning.
The fast emasculations and testicle problems that a smaller percentage of men experience right after getting vasectomies are much harder to dismiss as being unrelated to their vasectomy surgery.
But the pro vasectomy propaganda likes to ignore any data showing any problems with vasectomies. They rationalize the few men being quickly or slowly castrated by it are worth the much larger number of men successfully sterilized with no major problems from it.
And most drs seem to think men being castrated in their late 40s and older are no big deal to drs. As if, they ve had their balls for sex and making babies long enough by then, so who cares if they are geldings after their 40s ?
The men who desire younger castration could get a vasectomy about 15 years before they want to be castrated. 15 years later, their balls might be failing or malfunctioning enough to give them the benefits of castration that they want, but with their balls staying on them. Or enough medical problems with their balls to justify a medically necessary castration with full insurance eligibility to cover it.

bI would have preferred it had been at 12 or 13, rather than 60. Would like to have been free of body hair and enlarged genitals.
