Does anyone have any updates on the status of the new standards of care? I'm guessing COVID pushed the timeline out a bit, but figured it was worth checking in.

The NEW plan for the Standards of Care is to have it in final draft form by late spring. I'm guessing that mid-summer is more likely. The final "statements" that are to be the core of each chapter are currently out for comment by the entire set of chapter committee members. Their comments are due back by no later than the 25th and final chapter writing will begin after that. The Eunuch chapter is in good quality draft form already, so it should be set fairly soon.

What the committee hopes is the final draft of Chapter 18 (Applicability of the Standards of Care to Eunuchs) is with the general editors. It's been through FAR too many drafts to date, but the editors keep asking for minor changes. Once it receives final approval, I think that the members here will be mostly pleased with it. While certainly not perfect, it will be a great improvement. We're already thinking about what we might want to do for the 9th edition.
