Vaginoplasty

Post by Evolve »

Has anyone here pursued a vaginoplasty as opposed to nullification surgery? I'm tentatively scheduled for this procedure in October.

I know someone who had a penile inversion done. Not 100% sure if it was as a replacement for nullification or not.

I had it done in Dec 2019... I know several others that have also done it.

so the obvious question in the room, what is it like? thought about it a bit but always been curious and interested in asking about it [never got around to asking the person I knew who got it as it was a sore topic for him]

I'm very happy I got it done... before I was kinda obsessed with the thoughts of it and now I'm completely calm. Before I was on antidepressants and now I'm not. I was healed enough for sex just before pandemic hit so that put a damper on things. Sex does feel good mentally and physically. I haven't learned how to orgasm from intercourse but can via clitoris.

Dilating is time consuming and difficult when not at home... I also fear TSA inspecting my bag and taking out the dilator but that hasn't happened. I have had some complications from surgery I had prostatitis and a UTI...

I rather love the look of a zero depth vaginaplasty. It gives the exterior look of a vulva, but without actually having a vaginal canal.

Very contradictory opinions on Zero Depth Vaginoplasty, for example:

As with all things it depends on the individual taste and the "end goal" of the person. What is right for one person will be wrong for another. In the case of my lover, he wants to remain male, just absent of any traditional male genitalia. He firmly is against having a vaginal canal, but is unsure if a ZDV or just a penectomy and castration would bring about the most long term satisfaction.

Very interesting articles, thanks for the links.

I'm glad to hear that you're happy with your surgery. I know that dilation is for life, but I thought the time required decreases over time.

I had it done in May 2012, along with breast augmentation (I still present as male.) Outside of marrying my husband, it's the best thing I've ever done. NO regrets whatsoever.

That would be an acceptable choice for me. Would like to make that possible.

This is exactly what I'm looking to have and am exploring with my therapist. It's just so taboo that it's hard to find guys/NB people who are willing to talk about it. I consider myself NB - been on estrogen and had lots of hair removal but don't really have any strong inclination to present as a female on a day-to-day basis. I just have no interest in using my penis or taking on the male role during intercourse. Would appreciate hearing from any people who have had this while presenting more masculine.

UPDATE: I had the full depth procedure three weeks ago and am at home, taking it easy- It helps that I have a butt load of use/lose vacation time I had to start using.

ZDV/LDV seems preferable than daily dilation for life. But, it's all what the person wants. The thought of this interests me.
