Re: Survey Number 4
Finished the survey. Had some misgivings about some of the questions. Felt that they were asking the same thing in a different format. Checking to see if what we say is the truth.

As someone who works with survey data (not this particular one), how you ask a question is very important. If you want to lead someone to an answer, ask it one way... Want to lead them from it, ask another. Want it to be neutral, ask yet a different way.
Though I'm not sure I saw that in this instance, I could see where someone may think what you have. Still, with all its flaws, I'll take this survey. Once of the main arguments against eunuchs and nullos receiving care is there's no research. Yet the vast majority saying that would never bother to, well, do the research.

Re: Survey Number 4
As of a couple of minutes ago, there were 75 completed responses to the survey. Of those who responded, 37 are castrated or nullified. The more responses, the better. If you read this and haven't responded yet, please do. If you have any friends or acquaintances who have any interest in castration (whether they're EA members or not), please consider asking them to respond.

Sorry, I am confused. Somehow, I thought it was for castrated or nullified, but 75 - 37 = 38. What is the story on the 38?? Fantasy? Interested? Have I missed something, which my wife will vouch is not unusual.

The survey is also for those who are "wannabes," seeking castration/nullification, and for anyone else who is interested in the subject, whether just for the fiction or as a general interest in the subject. They are all important for comparison purposes. While probably impossible, it would be great if some people not at all interested in castration took the survey to gain a wider comparison group. Anyone and everyone is invited to take part.

I try to recommend the questionnaire to others as well. I asked them to visit the test page.

I didn't answer all the questions. I skipped where there wasn't a "real" answer for me (like "not applicable") and clarified that in the text.

Done. Thanks for the survey. I am about half way reading the 30 reports from past surveys. I look forward to the report(s) from this one.

Re: Survey Number 4
Many contributors, myself included, have voiced less than favourable comments towards this survey. But to dwell on such is to miss the point.
Any and all information regarding castration and nullification is valid and vital to the progressive nature of this community. And whilst the construct may fall short in the eyes of many, I have no doubt that the analysis will be proper.
I applaud Jesus for his seemingly tireless efforts in raising awareness of our needs and implore you all to garner as many participants as possible.

Re: Survey Number 4
I did respond. I was finally able to do it on line here. I think it is important to make known that if I expressed problems with completing it, or how questions were asked and that perhaps more answer possibilities should have been provided, was only to indicate and make known that my answers did not tell the completely accurate and full story of me and maybe others. I did this for the same reason as the survey itself. all in an attempt to get as much of eunuch life as possible understood so our needs and rights are properly and fairly addressed by society. I think having this survey is a great and positive thing. thanks for this opportunity.

Responded to the survey.
Some questions were odd to me, like taking pleasure in mutilating others, or fantasizing about such. But I guess in this world we are living it, it may make sense to ask such questions
Anyhow, overall a good questionaire

Re: Survey Number 4
Our survey now has been open for one month.
So far, this thread has been read over 2,000 times, with only
310 people clicking the survey link.
164 people have completed the survey, of whom
77 are castrated (chemically/surgically/physically)
While this is a very nice beginning. We are certainly hoping for much more data from those who read the Eunuch Archive, whether they are registered members or not. The information will help us to explain eunuchs both to the medical community and to the general public.
All answers are completely anonymous. The only information about you that we will have is what you provide on the survey itself.

2,000 unique visitors or just 2K total? I know I've looked at it several times, but only did the survey once.....
Still wondering what I should do if it is still open when my status changes...

What the counter shows is how many times it's read, not unique visitors. I've checked it several times, too, in order to read the comments.
Survey #2 had 3,086 respondents. While I doubt that we'll get anywhere near that number, we'd certainly like to get as many as possible to better understand this group. But, one response per person is what we want.

Re: Survey Number 4
I finally got around to doing it.
The first time I binned it off as it was way too long.
My thoughts haven't changed but somehow I had the patience to complete it this time.: laugh:

Re: Survey Number 4
I just finished the survey. I was impressed at the large number of questions and the wide range of them. A couple of misgivings though. Read on...
I agree. Often, several very similar questions will be asked, not so much to see if the person is being honest, but to detect certain nuances.
In this survey, I found a number of questions that all seemed to be biased in the same way, and for this reason I expected to find some very similar questions biased the other way, so that the nuances could be detected. But I didn't see any of the oppositely biased questions. It led me to believe that the survey itself has a certain bias and makes assumptions about the person being surveyed. It may not have been intentional, but in my opinion that bias was still there. As a result, I went back and changed a couple of answers, because I didn't believe that I could answer those questions in a strictly honest way without giving a completely misleading impression.

All did.
The survey did feel as though there were some assumptions being made though.
Even so, thorough.
