Re: Finally going to get castrated
Sounds like great news - Congratulations, and let us know how things go...
When I had my surgery, the only real complication I had (which resulted in having to make a trip to the ER...) was that the swelling was so much that I literally couldn't pull my penis out far enough to stick my usual intermittent catheter into the urethra.... If you have to cath, I'd STRONGLY advise having them put in a Foley as part of your surgery care, and then plan to leave it in until the swelling goes down... Also note that it is reported that ice on the area on the day of surgery helps, and 'Alleve' or it's generic equivalents is supposed to be the most effective of the NSAID's at dealing w/ swelling...

Sounds like good progress, mine took a lot longer for the swelling to go down....

Re: Finally going to get castrated
I have had small amount of drainage but nothing more then some spots on the pad. I am surprised by the amount of dark bruising, not sure how long that will take to go away. I go back for a check up on the 4/10 I have not nocticed anything yet with hormones as I'm not on anything at the moment, I was about 250 T going into this. I have an appoint 5/8 to talk about hormones going forward.

Re: Finally going to get castrated
It's been a tough 3 weeks, developed a hematoma that started bleeding more more and then my incision opened up and ended up having a plastic surgeon redo the incision and put in a drain tube. Just had a check up yesterday and it has really healed well. I go in next Tuesday to get the sutures out. Can't wait to be fully healed. Still have a little swelling.

Finally fully healed and happy that I had it done. Not sure what direction I go with hormones, not anything for five weeks since surgery but I have an appt. Next week to discuss.

Fantastic news! :balsmilie Glad to hear your healing is finished.
Hormone-wise, I'm a fan of being on E patches, but it's a choice everyone has to make for themselves...

Glad to hear you are feeling well, and are enjoying the results. I will say the chest seems to get very mixed desires - some (including me) wanting it to not get to big, and others wanting to make it bigger....
FWIW my experience is that mine got significantly bigger, but I mostly notice it when looking down on the
