End of an era, Repost For Comment

Post by Bboy »

Dear Eunuch Archive Members,

It is with great mixed emotion that I find myself writing to you tonight.

I am proud of founding the Eunuch Archive, and proud of each and every one of you. You all make this the wonderful and supportive community that it is. As much as I worry about the news reports of 'castration gone wrong' and people meeting their cutters 'on the internet' I am convinced that the presence of this site has saved countless people, young and old. We've tried to provide a safe outlet for people, a place where fantasy can thrive and yet be tempered by the experience of people who have walked the road before and can teach about the dangers and yes, the benefits of our common interest.

With the introduction of the message board the body of factual information and human resources of knowledge and compassion grew exponentially. Krister, Paolo, Andrew, Jesus, Robby, and Riverwind among others are some of the finest people I know in this world and am proud to call them my friends. I am proud that something I created has grown to bring them together in this community.

The Eunuch Archive has long since outgrown my expectations when I started the site. It's also long since matured past the point where it's 'my' site. Talula joined me as co-Archivist a couple of years ago, and shortly thereafter Paolo took over as editor-in-chief of story submissions and message board moderator. My role over the last couple of years has generally been to try to put a friendly face on the Archive and to provide guidance of the overall tone and direction of the site.

So tonight, it's with great sadness on my part that I am announcing to you all that I am stepping down as the administrator of the Eunuch Archive. It's something that I have worked long and hard on and regardless of the faith I have in those that will continue to run, and yes improve the site, it's with the same trepidation that a parent feels when their child leaves home.

My leaving my position is, though, a necessity. The mixed emotions come from my reasons for stepping down. I can't go into great detail, but I am hoping there are going to be some very big, and very positive changes in my life in the near future, changes that are incompatible with running this website. I am in love, and I intend to do everything in my power to make sure I don't do anything to endanger that love or hurt the person I am in love with.

It has been truly a great ride. Thank you for all of your love and support. While I won't be involved in the administration or running of the Eunuch Archive any longer, I will continue to be around reading stories, reading the boards, and yes even posting something when I have something to say. I will just be another user, albeit one that happens to be pretty good friends with the admins. I will also be a technical consultant to talula and Paolo on server and software issues.

Talula will take over as the overall site administrator and Paolo will continue as message board moderator and editor-in-chief.

I am hoping that these guys can take the Archive to the next level and involve some of the incredible talent that makes up this community and form a more stable and formal operating structure with some of our local members acting as a advisory board that the administrator(s) can use as a sounding board for developing site policies, etc.

My sincere wish for this site is that it continues on, growing and getting better and better as time goes on. For you all, my wish is happiness, health, and the answer to all your hopes and dreams.

Sincerely,

Bboy

Bboy

Though I have not been involved with the staff for as long as the rest of you have but, I too, have found a home on the Eunuch Archive. When I first found this site some 18 months ago I was warmly greeted by the likes of dignitaries as Bboy, talula, IE and Luvpain.

When I had questions about the Archive, Paolo was there to answer them for me. Bboy - I rarely had to chance to get to know you let alone meet you. However, in these several months I have developed a liking for you.

Besides, you're better looking than both IE and me.

I'm happy you found someone to care for and to care about you. I used to think it was impossible to find true love in this world. Thank god, you have proven my idea wrong :).

You have always had my respect and admiration. I wished we had met in person.

I wish you love, happiness, contentment and peace.

Take care,

MacTheWolf

B, I will be missing you in the day to day operation of this site, I just hope we live up to the task you have given us. I remember you saying when I was up there that there may be a day when you would step down, I just did not think it was going to be 10 days later.

B, what has been created here is family, a safe place for people like me to talk with like minds. Most of the world would think were crazy but we know different. It is through this site and meeting you all that I felt better about going to Philly and you all have been there for me. B, this is somthing that you brought to the site, a kind and fun place. A place for fanticy and reality for all of us.

B, you have my phone number and you know you can reach me through Talula, if theres anything I or this folks on this site can do for you - just name it.

B, Most of all I want to say thank you, I think that all of us feel that way, I hope that the next time I get up to Eunuch Central we can get together again.

Take care my friend,

and good luck to you always.

Bboy,

While I knew this was coming, it's certainly far quicker than I had expected. Love is a powerful and wonderful emotion. I could see the sparkle in your eyes as we sat around the table at talula's. This one is clearly real.

You certainly have my best wishes for the future and my thanks for all the wonderful things you have done for the community. I hope to see the TWO of you sometime in the future, wherever on the continent you settle.

Bboy,

WOW! Man, what can I say that hasn't already been said? I am so very, very happy for you! I know the last time we spoke (was that 2 years ago, or 3???) you were in a state that could only be considered despair. I didn't know what to say then either.

Actually, I do know what to say now, whether it's been said before or not. First of all, a big THANK YOU for all your hard work, your dedication, your commitment. Secondly, but no less sincere, CONGRATULATIONS, and BEST WISHES!!!

If there is anything, and I mean ANYTHING I can do to help, encourage, inform, please do not hesitate to contact me.

There's not too much I can say, either,

and I don't have enough ego to have to try. :)

You've done not only a good job, but a valuable job. It was a service to the commumity.

I view your announcement as both a sad and happy one. Sad to see you step down, happy for the reasons.

Take care,

B,

What can I say, you've found love in your life. Well done.

I am not sure how many years ago I found your site. I am talking well over 6 years and it could be even more. In the early years, I sent you several messages which weren't returned. I don't blame you. You must have been overwhelmed with e-mail back then. And you are probably still overwhelmed with e-mail now.

This site has meant a lot to me as well as the others who visit and actively participate. Without your ability to provide a warm, caring, and thoughtful environment, this site would not have survived. You've made many new friends here and I for one, have benefited by your contribution, your contribution to my personal life.

As I said to you before, this opportunity ahead of you only comes once in a lifetime. Make the best of it as I know you will. If the time comes to start a family, I pray for a bountiful harvest. You will make a great dad and a kind husband, as you are a gentle and honorable man.

God bless Bboy. If there is anything I can do to help you in the future, give me a call. You know I will be there for you at all times.

Take care my friend,

Thank You Bboy

You have been a cornerstone of this great foundation. I too am both sad and happy. Sad, because I know you are stepping down, and happy that you have found someone to share your life with. It is with great pride I call myself a member here. This site has done so much for me and many others. This is the place, I too, call home. Thank you for bringing it all together for everyone and may everyday be filled with happiness, joy and the wonderous things love can bring.

[FONT=Arial]Bboy,

I, for one, must thank you for all the hard work and hours that you have dedicated to the Archives. It has become a haven for me and a place to express, in story form, all the fantasies that pass through this unique mind of mind.

Everyone deserves a chance at love, but it does take time and effort to develop. So, I'm glad you are giving yourself the opportunity to go for it. I wish you the best.

With all sincerity,

Wow... What can I say to someone who has given so much of himself..... You have given us all a place where we can be ourselves, accepted, and understood....

I found the Archive at one of the deepest, darkest times in my life.... when I felt so alone..... here was a site full of great folks who helped me to understand what I was going through, and to realize that I was not alone. My wife understood for the first time, because of this site and the great people here. The difference this has made in my life is immeasurable. I know there are many here who could tell the same story...... You have made a difference in the lives of so many here.

It truly is with the greatest joy that we thank you and wish you the best in your life and your relationship.

Thank you so much.

Whilst I share the sadness of others at your retirement, I also share the profound gratitude for all you have done, as well as your assurance the the EA will continue, and that you will drop in at times to update us your life.

I can only hope my small contributions have been of help. I will admit that the EA is now my ONLY contact with the Eunuch community, having dropped all the Yahoo and other groups. I have no idea what I would do without the Eunuch Archives in my life.

Dear BBoy:

While I am sad at hearing of your departure, you have done so many things to make this site work, including work that most of us don't know about. While this resignation ends one part of your work, you and your prospective mate will commence a NEW BEGINNING. May I extend to both of you my hope for love, happiness, and companionship in your future.

Best wishes and congratulations,

For one who was around near the beginning I appreciate all you have given the Archive.

Thanks for those you have trained up to continue the good work. (Was that good work or god work? -P)πŸ˜„

Best regards for the future.🚢

Dear Brian,

We are all very sad that you are retiring.

As Goethe wrote:

Liebe ist die Aufopferung allen Egoistmus.

I wish you all the world has to offer, for you and your new love and hope to read many of your messages as "Archivist Emeritus".

yours in great admiration,

Bboy, I would like to thank you for the group. If not for you, I would not have been able to truely find out what it was I wanted and how to get it. I am truely happier now, as are a lot of us being able to discuss this in a safe, open manner.

I wish you well on your travels, be safe and God go with you.

Bboy. Just wanted to say thanx heaps for making the archives what they truly are today. They have changed over the years, but always for the best. You will be sorely missed, but you deserve happiness too. Be well, Bboy.
