a new eunuch now

Post by sag111 (imported) »

Thanks for all your concerns and prayers it is finaley over and although i have some pain it will be just fine. When i started this two years ago with the depo provera i felt very luckey that i had a doctor that was willing to help me and then when i said i was looking for advice on what to ask my doctor about surgery you gave me many good ideas that i know helped me.And yes i found another doctor in the same hospital that was willing to do the surgery for me call it luck or the answer to my prayers but their are some doctors that are willing to help us but we have to ask and be honest. The doctors and nurses that did the surgery were so kind and helpful it made this so easy for me i even had a nurse tell me that doctors and hospitals need to help more men that need this surgery so maybe their is some hope after all .Again i want to thak all who gave me so much support when i needed it the most how can i repay such wonderfull friends i just love everyone of you thanks.

Congratulations. I know that you will feel very content now that you are at last a true eunuch. I went the same route with hormone treatment (for prostate cancer) first followed by surgical castration last September. You were very supportive to me at that time. Now, nine months on without balls, I feel so much better and you will too.

All the best

Hi Sag,

I have been trying to think of what to say. I am almost never at a loss for words but this time the only thing I can think of to say is how happy I am for you. Some how that seems OK. Sag I am so happy for you.

I agree with you, Andrew, about taking the calcium. As I reported in the EA last September after my castration in a hospital, my surgeon was sufficiently confident in his aseptic techniques not to shave me nor to use any antibiotics. That is now nine months ago. There were absolutely no after effects at all. There was some swelling of the scrotum but no haemorrhage and no discharge of any kind. The sutures dissolved themselves.

regards to all

Sag,

Sorry that I missed wishing you well for the big day. I have not been online much since my surgery. I am glad to hear that you are doing well and I am envious.

Hello Sag and my very WARMEST congratulations to you. I wish you the best recovery period possible. I would have like to have been online earlier to send you my thoughts but circumstances have kept me offline for a while.

Fortunately you can chat with many good friends here who have taken the path before you and who can advise you about any post surgery pain/rashes etc. If they occur, they'll pass and I hope your future is as mellow and as happy as you wish. Take care and hugs!

Shaving is really a thing of the past for most surgeons; when you shave skin, you damage the follicles and release the bacteria that live in them. This is what causes the folliculitis that sometimes results from shaving.

Most surgeons these days shave, if anything, only the actual incision site itself and leave the rest under a layer of protective sticky plastic.

So, I guess this is a word of advice-- if you're going to have a cutter do it, it is NOT WISE to shave the region within a few days of the procedure.

I am not so sure about that, I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago and I was shaved from my tits to my croch and side to side. This was for three little cuts that was covered with a bandaide and on cut at the navel of about 1 1/2 in. or two bandaides. it depends on the operation that is going to be given.

This is just a note to say that I am impressed by the picture of the pair of balls and the jar that they are about to go into. Were you castrated by a cutter or by a fully-qualified doctor?

Thanks Terry! I was castrated by a cutter. Actually I did quite a lot of the cutting myself (thanks to xylocaine) and a vet friend sort of oversaw and helped. I got a little shaky when I was dissecting the cords, so he helped out there, helped ligate, and he closed.

If Dr. Kimmel had been available at the time, I would definitely have gone with him instead though.
