Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Scottie (imported) »

Hello it's me lil ole Scottie: Just some stuff thats gonna hurt, I just know it.

Well I just got back from the castration Doc. He's a neat guy, I do like him. I did not like the news I got. There has been an adhession that has formed in the left side of my empty scrotum. OUCH!!!!!!!!! It of course had to form on the nerve tissue and nerve bundle. To make it better he had to feel all around, pushing it, hurting it ect ect. I had to do blood work this morning, I have an ultara sound thursday at 12:00. If the ultra sound is possitive for the granuloma, which is the adhession and a cyst kinda thing. I will need surgery again. Let's see that will make 4 surgeries or more on this. Well I know its' my own falt for melting my testicles with that lactic acid, and yes...NOT LISTENING .... I do want to warn anyone, that some people are seseptable to complications. (shit) So think before you act. Do not follow my lead and forge ahead when it can actually kill you and if you do not die, you can spend years cleaning up your own mess. Have a great day! scottie

Hi Scottie! Actually as this post grows, you'll find that this is quite typical. It happens often. Also infection seems to be a typical problem. As the others here will testifie, these problems are common. If I can work it, I want the other bilateral procedure were they cut above the pelvis and pull the testies up and out. Hugs, Leona

I would think twice about getting a radical bilateral orchiectomy. That is what the groin is called. You have far more chance of infection and problems with this way. You will be layed up longer and may have a stay in the hospital. Recovery is much longer.

I will just get the simple bilateral orchiectomy.

Bobbie what you say may or may not be true.

I had a bilateral orchiectomy through the abdomin and went home from the hospital the same day. I was layed up for a couple of days with a few pain pills but NO infection, and NO problems thereafter.

I was told to not lift weights or anything heavier then 10 lbs for 6 weeks but I was able to manage that difficult task.

If I had the choice of getting castrated via the scrotal sac or the abdomin I choose the later... In my opinion, the only way to go.

⛵🚶🚶⛵

P.S. I have experience with both procedures. Each testicle was removed differently.

It perhaps depends on the individual and, more importantly, the practicioner. Many guys, including myself, have had testicles removed through the sac w/ no problems or complications. Of course, I had very short cords, and I know that what was left just disappeared inside the abdomoinal cavities and did not stay in the sac. Those short cords were the source of my problems in the first place. My experience of having had an inguinal hernia repaired leaves me very fearful of abdominal surgery. I was laid up for 10 days, whereas I returned to work 2 days following the removal of my balls through the sac.

Thankyou! The doc tried that proceedure forst. What he found was that the testicles where fused to the inside of the scrotum. He eneded up scrapping them to get them free and out. Thakyou, scottie

Scottie, It's noble of you to warn people not to follow your lead. I hope your story is some day made available to newbies considering alternative methods of castration, along with Andrews health posts (what do you think, Paolo?). We've all followed your trials over the last year or so and we sympathize with you... but, fuck, you've done some drastic stuff - ya got balls, dude! (figuratively speaking, of course). I send you peaceful and pain-free vibes for your surgury.

Blessings and better choices for the future,

DocT

To restate this another way. If you find yourself so fixated or driven that you can no longer make reasonable and logical decisions, seek help immediately. You may end up killing yourself or at the minimum regretting your actions. I cannot stress this strongly enough.

Their is another way to remove the testical and thats the way my doctor did mine he went through the bottom of the scrotem but instead of removing the testical he removed everything inside of it leaving a very empty sack in its place.and since the cords are still attached to the empty testical they dont pose a problem .I had very little bleeding and no drainage and was up and around in a few days .Good luck on what ever you may decide.

Your experience should be everyone's. The name of the procedure in which the testicles are removed through the sac is "simple" bilateral orchoectomy. It's supposed to be simple, as opposed to complex. There should be few complications, certainly at the hands of licenced physicians who may perform dozens of such procedures annually. Of course, there's another thread on this.

My practicioner also removed everything inside the sac, and I had no complications. I was walking about about 4 hours following the closing of the wounds. I drove 240 km to my home the following day, and I was at work on Monday morn 2 days following the loss of my balls. I did experience some drainage from the only partially sutured wounds, and the closings were designed to facilitate drainage. I was totally healed and had returned to my fitness centre for daily workouts and group showers in a little less than 3 weeks.
