Outage
Just wanted to reach out to the community and say sorry about the massive outage that occurred over the last few hours.
I had a car go through the front wall of my home and they took out everything and what made things worse is I am over 3000 Kms away from home and only my partner is there to get things back up and running, he was sleeping in the bedroom which is to the side of the house and luckily he was not hurt during this.
My main goal is to make sure he and my pets are ok and safe but we are working hard to get services back up and running
Thanks
Fusion.

Re: Outage
As I posted elsewhere, glad that you and your partner are OK, the house can be fixed... Hope the pets are all OK as well. They are the proper priorities, getting the site and the other physical stuff restored is secondary!
Glad to see that things are back up, as that is a hopeful sign.

Re: Outage
We have managed to find Loki (Cockatiel) and Remy (Cat).
Loki is fine. Remy is being taken to the vets as he has been hurt

Here at the mounds house, we have fur, feather and scale family. I know how I would feel if they were lost or injured.
I am glad to hear everyone is doing well. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Re: Outage
Morning all,
Everything is going in the right direction. The house is getting a new front over the next few months.
My partner is safe, the pets have been found vet checked, Remy, our cat, has a broken leg but will recover.
The servers should all be back up and running, if any issues are found please let use know.
Thanks to everyone that reached out.

Re: Outage
Great news! Better that it hadn't happened, but given that it did, it's about as positive an outcome as one can expect! Glad it seems to be working out OK.

Re: Outage
Yea I am not one to sit and dwell that something happened I prefer to move to the how do we fix it quickly.
Got to say thanks to the landlord though for actually moving quickly and getting everything organised and the Real Estate team for getting us temp accommodations until the wall is back up.
I have never had so much support during a well a disaster event and this has overwhelmed me a bit.

Re: Outage
Just out of curiosity, how do they secure your house now that you have a giant hole in the wall? Are they at least putting up some kind of boards at least to protect the insides from the elements?

Glad to hear that you have the situation in hand.

Lucky you. The only support we might get in these parts is the locals taking pictures with their phones, and the Solicitors trying to sue us for having our home in the path of whatever hit it.

Re: Outage
There is a wire fence and CCTV around the front of the property, also the landlords brother started rebuilding the wall as soon as the police gave them the ok.dandelion wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 1:39 pm Just out of curiosity, how do they secure your house now that you have a giant hole in the wall? Most items are now located on rooms that can be closed, office, spare room, and master bedroom. The carpet will be replaced once the wall has been fixed.
As the lounge room was the worst hit most things here will be replaced with new items and most of that has already been taken to the top.
We have also been lucky that our insurance and the landlords insurance was with the same insurance company and they have approved everything to be repaired or bought new, for a nice payout from them so my husband and I get to go shopping soon to replace it all.
Yea we are very lucky down here as we live in a community that helps each other out and our neighbors have always been friendly and supportive and that goes both ways.TheRagingEunuch wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 5:56 pm Glad to hear that you have the situation in hand.
