Effects of castration on dick size

Hello everyone, quick question for you all and just checking what is normal.

Has anyone else experienced quite a significant reduction in the size of their dick since getting castrated? I was never huge but there is no doubt at all that I have reduced in size, both length ways and also volume. My dick also feels more dense if that makes sense. Has anyone else experienced this?

This is probably irrelevant since I am a Congenital Eunuch, but I was also blessed with Micropenis. My partner who has a short right arm, calls it my "stub". She also calls her arm that, so I guess she and I have a little in common. /b]

There is an old joke about "use it or lose it" The penis is basically a set of sponges in tubes that are soft and squishy when limp, but fill with blood when one gets excited, causing an erection. The regular erections one gets even when not sexually active, i.e. morning wood, fun dreams, porn, etc. keep that spongy tissue stretched out to some degree, even when limp.

When you get castrated, especially if you aren't doing testosterone replacement, you will probably get erections less often, if at all. This lack of 'exercise' will allow those sponges to shrink to some degree... How much seems highly variable, and it may depend on how much you started with, i.e. are you a 'shower' or a 'grower'. However it seems from reports that everyone shrinks some, but the minimum is about what you had when you hit puberty.

I've never heard anyone talk about 'density' before, so not sure on that angle. I don't think mine feels much different than it did before, but never really measured it. Given that most of the shrinkage is from reduced elasticity in those tissues, it does make sense that it might feel more dense.

Mine shrank immediately. Of course, I checked as soon as I woke up from the surgery and was surprised to see foreskin covering a good portion of the head of my penis. As a circumcised person, I was shocked that there was that much shrinkage.

I have to do significant 'fishing' to find mine and drag it out of hiding... Of course considering that I have to catheterize, I can't really blame it for trying to hide... I'm actually not sure I could get enough out to pee neatly when standing or sitting if I didn't have to cath.

If I was a TAB, I'd probably be inclined to consider going nullo for that reason, but the usual re-route exit point is even worse when in a chair and needing to cath. (I have a female friend who said the only time she ever had "penis envy" was when she landed in rehab and the nurse came in w/ a mirror to give her lessons...)

Mine hasn't changed really at all since my castration, I'm on a decently high dose of TRT though so I still get regular erections. As wheely said, it's very much a use it or lose it kinda situation.
