Shrinkage
Shrinkage
Just wondering from those who had a bilateral orchiectomy and didn’t do TRT. How small did you get. I know we don’t get and filling as in erections but wondering how short and circumference. It’s been over 3 years and although I don’t ever get any filling. I haven’t really gotten any shorter. Maybe less circumference

Re: Shrinkage
After 9 months of CC with Androcur, I saw a shrinkage of almost 10%. But since my goal was to become a nullo, that wasn't an issue for me.

Re: Shrinkage
Shrinkage seems to be highly variable, according to the reports I've seen here and on EAv2. Some get a lot, and others hardly any... I don't know if there has ever been any formal research into it that would allow better prediction for individuals. My guess based on my limited medical knowledge of how things work is that it is probably related to if one was a "grower" or a "shower" - i.e. how much change you got between soft and erect...
I know I was a very much a 'grower', and after my injury when I quit trying to get erections and slowly lost most of the ability, I decidedly shrank, and have now gotten to the point where I have some trouble finding it when I need to cath...
As best one can tell from the reports, the worst / maximum shrinkage would get one back to about what you had in early puberty.

Re: Shrinkage
Yes I posted a similar thread as it struck me that this is one of the effects of getting castrated that you you don’t hear much about beforehand and can take you by surprise. I have certainly experienced a significant reduction in the size of my dick since my own castration in 2015. I was never huge but there is no doubt at all that I have reduced in size, both length ways and also volume and also consistency.

Re: Shrinkage
Thanks for that, and just as a data point, would you have described yourself as a shower or grower before you got fixed?Jon246 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 5:12 pm Yes I posted a similar thread as it struck me that this is one of the effects of getting castrated that you you don’t hear much about beforehand and can take you by surprise. I remember way to many years ago reading a men's mag (I think it was Penthouse) that had an "ask the madam" column with questions being answered by one of the Madam's of the illegal but ignored NYC (as long as proper donations to politicians and cops were made
So brings it back to the question of shrinkage after surgery... My very first guess theory is that since it is the cavernous tissues that expand to make an erection, and the elasticity of those depends on regular erections (as most have while sleeping even if not 'active') a guy that had a bigger difference in size before surgery would see more shrinkage afterwards than someone that didn't get a lot of size change..... However I have no data to back that up with. Perhaps you and other participants in this thread can provide more...

So it can come as a bit of a surprise when you do indeed start to shrink, especially as it continues long afterwards - I continued to shrink well after my castration in 2015.
I was never huge and was definitely a grower, but there is no doubt at all that I have reduced in size, both length ways and also volume. I couldn’t tell you exactly how much as I didn’t take the time to measure it beforehand.

Thanks for the comment and question. Whilst almost all of the information is naturally about the wider effects of getting castrated there is very little on the effect on your dick, which I suppose is odd given its proximity!WheelyFixed wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 6:36 pmThanks for that, and just as a data point, would you have described yourself as a shower or grower before you got fixed?Jon246 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 5:12 pm Yes I posted a similar thread as it struck me that this is one of the effects of getting castrated that you you don’t hear much about beforehand and can take you by surprise. She said the two biggest questions were "Where did it come from?" and "Where did it go?" (and that any size variation didn't make a lot of difference, "skill" mattered far more...)

Re: Shrinkage
Tough thing for before and after is factoring in weight changes. I measured plenty of times before hand, but am currently in weight loss mode and not sure how to adjust for that in a quantitative fashion.

Re: Shrinkage
No idea how to adjust for weight changes in a quantitative way, but I would not expect a lot of changes in penis size from weight changes or body building, etc. since it doesn't have a lot of fat or muscle that would build up or go down...
However while he didn't spell it out in so many words, the urologist that did my surgery said that I'd have fewer access problems if I lost weight because the fat buildup in the pubic pad around the penis reduced it's effective length... One of my major complaints (and still is) the amount of difficulty I have in digging it out of hiding so I can cath. He said that an option would be to come back for a second surgery where he could do liposuction to remove most of that fat, which would increase my "effective length"...
