Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration

Post by Kangan (imported) »

By using a search engine, you can find many boards that cater to nudists and specifically to nudists who shave their pubes (smoothies). There are also special boards for male "smoothies" who are also circumcised. I have a sneaking suspicion that these folks are really closet nullo wannabes.

I am not circumcised, but I have been know to shave off my pubic hair on occasion. Sometimes my wife does the shaving as a sort of symbolic castration ritual (besides it is difficult for me to reach all the hidden spots).

Kangan,

I have always kept myself shaved - both before and after my forced castration. I like the feel, and the smooth look. Pubic hair is a turn-off for me, and was for the Lady I was with at the time.

I think that it's vanity - lack of pubic hair makes some penis's look bigger.

I shave my pubic area daily and have done so for about six years. In a sense it's an ultra soft version of the castration that I know I should only experience in the realm of fantasy. Actually, I would like to be totally rid of my body hair, and for that matter my facial hair, but as far as I can tell there are not affordable/functional options (for instance lazer doesn't work on gray hairs).

I've noted from men's locker/change rooms, as well as at nude beaches, etc., that many men shave their pubes and genitals. Some only keep them trimmed. It has more to do with emphasizing and drawing attention to the cock than it does having it removed.

I've shaved my genitals (scrotum and base of the cock) since hair began growing there (long before I was castrated), and I've occasionally shaved my pubes. Usually I just keep them trimmed. Smooth genitals make oral sex much more pleasureable for the giver.

So,

Do we shave our faces because we secretly desire to cut off our noses as well?

Do women shave their legs because they secretly desire to be double-amputees and legless?

So why do people shave their heads?

Of course, there may be more than one reason. However, not everything that happens has a sexual basis.

Thanks for all the comments. When I am shaved my penis looks smaller! (At least I think so.) Also, I have some gray pubic hairs so lasering for permanent removal is out. (Old age creeping up on me.)

I enjoy the smooth feeling but can't say if it's related to castration desires. I get ingrowns (nasty) though, so nowadays I just trim. Personally I see it as being courteous to anyone kind enough to put my dick in their mouth - few people like their mouth full of hair.

I love the hairless look too, but I get the ingrown hairs, and it's not worth it... unless someone has any hints on avoiding this?

I like shaving and I'm doing it since 10 years, but that has nothing to do with castration fantasies.

I shave because I like it and I feel better without pubic hair. I've no problem with growin in hair, but I'm shaving every 2nd day.

Instead of shaving them off, pull them out. The smooth look lasts much longer, you avoid ingrown hairs, and over time, fewer and fewer grow back in.

This is one subject I actually know about. I also agree with the Slammer. The best way to to rid yourself of body hair is to pluck it out. The best way to do that is with an epilator. I've been using the ones made by Emjoi for years. At first I did have some trouble with ingrown hairs, but I started scrubbbing my skin with a dry luffa. I don't get ingrown hairs any more. The luffa should also work for those that shave also. It keeps the surface of the skin open so the hair can grow out instead of in.

As far as epilators go, the single roller ones are the best for the more sensitive areas. The dual roller ones work better for the large flatter areas. When using an epilator, you really need to keep the skin tight where you are working or it might eat you. Ouch 😠 Also be aware that when you start epilating, especially in the sensitive areas, it will hurt a lot for the first few times you do it. After a while the pain turns into a gentle pulling. It has taken a while, but I don't get nearly as much hair growing back. I am hairless from the neck down and the only reason is that, I hate body hair. Also sexual relations with another hairless body is very sensual. I highley recommend it. Steve

I think there is a point when full shaving of the genitals is more than just male asthetic. For example it may point to a desire to return to pre-pubescence.

Body shaving in general reduces ones' apparent maleness; body hair is one of the physical indicators of being a guy. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm just pointing it out. The dilemna for us happily adult, hetero guys is that the majority of women prefer a smoother look (at least for chest/back/shoulders).

I also admit that just letting one's body hair grow without some sort of management can look pretty gross.

So my suggestion is to use a hair trimmer or beard trimmer set to a fairly close setting (on my trimmer I use setting 2 or 3 depending on the body part). The trick is to keep the setting just long enough that the remaining hair still feels soft (not stubbly).

The advantage of trimming over shaving is that it is very quick (face it: keeping a full body shaved takes a lot of time), there are no ingrown hair or razor rash problems, and you actually keep a body hair pattern so you can keep some semblence of being the adult man you are.

I love having my back, chest, pubic and genitals shaved. When I was about 25 I had to have a hernia operation. Back then they kept you in the hospital the night before and got you prepped for the operation. I don't remember being told in advance (maybe I was) but in comes this pretty good looking nurse to shave me. It was a pretty erotic experience for me, Although I managed to keep things at half-mast. When she was done I couldn't help but keep looking at myself. It kind of brought back these memories of how I looked when I was prepubescent. There were those moles I had, that I hadn't seen for a while. I forgot that they existed, and I looked like a little boy again. I think this is when I first got interested in having my pubes shaved. what a cheap way to recapture your youth. The same thing with chest hair. After a heart attack scare, I went for a stress test and they shaved some spots on my chest to attach the electrodes (or whatever they are) once I got home I finished the job. I have to let my hair grow out because I don't like the itchy feel of them growing back and I have someone in my life that likes the hair. But every once in a while I go for it! This summer I had to visit a urologist and I had dyed my pubes blond. I think from his reaction he could tell I wasn't a real blond! It really is one of those "try it your might like it things".

I think I'm lucky not to have most of the hair you talk about - chest and back, for instance. Perhaps for that reason, I don't do body shaving to recapture prepubescence. I shave my cock base for looks though and my sac (empty) for the same reason I shave my face - to make them look smooth. Usually my BF, but any occasional sex partners as well, spends as much time with his face in my genitals as the area around my mouth, and it's just more pleasant for all if it's hairless. Since I shave my genitals every time I shave my face (every 2-3 days), I don't seem to have any problems with ingrown hairs.

I have occasionally gone for the whole body shave. I kept my arms and legs shaved for an entire year several years ago. The only thing I didn't clear was my pubes. I guess I think they give me a maleness I don't otherwise have. In any event, I think smooth arms and legs did make me look more attractive. My muscles showed up more prominently.

:) I have been shaving my body from shoulders to knees for several years. I used to have quite a hairy body and I enjoy the smooth feeling. I really do not want to feminize so I leave the legs and arms hairy. That way I still look masculine. Any one else just shave because it feels good to have a smooth body? Or am I a little weird ❓

I shave head to toes (literally), every day --- except for eyebrows (which seems to freak out people) and parts of back (I can actually reach most of my back).

Lots of advantages --- smooth look, smooth feel, cooler --- but strongest motivator is the symbolic emasculation. I'm small-hung, built like a boy, and I should be smooth like a boy.

I don't have any problems with rashes, ingrowns, cuts, etc. My technique is an unscented shaving gel and new disposable razor every morning in the shower. It requires about 15 minutes, and is a high point of my day.

Now I'm interested in permanent removal, both to eliminate the time and expense of daily shaving and, more importantly, to make the emasculation irreversible.

Without presuming to offer advice, I can say that friends who've tried pubic shaving and complained and quit might have had more satisfying results with perserverence. Sure, I had problems for the first month or so, but with daily shaving the skin adapted --- no problems.

Good luck to all.

Since I started this thread, I guess I should comment about the posts. The prepubescent look is definitely what it is all about. Perhaps this would also explain some of our castration desires, i.e. a return to the innocence of childhood.

Are there any psychologists out there who care to comment?

Yes, I think there is something in that ... pre-pubescent. I'm built like boy, and never progressed sexually beyond the eroticism of a boy, and that's where I would seek to be returned.

Yet I note that mine is not the only motivation, nor likely the most popular. Permanent removal of pubic hair by women (gay and non-gay, as far as I can tell) is extremely popular, but I don't sense that the motivation is similar to mine ... please, someone elaborate, if you are more knowledgeable.

As for men, I think pubic hair shaving / remobal is rare for non-gay men and less rare, but still uncommon, for gay men (source: informal shower-room observation). I don't know the motivation for either.

Concerning size, what I've seen (source: above) is that shaved men are usually small-hung, like me. However, my motivation is not to make the package look larger, but rather to fully expose how small it is.

An interesting and very astute observation. While I don't have a broad knowledge of shaved males, I'd have to agree that a majority of those I have seen, tend to have small packages. In one case, the man's wife was shaved and she prefered him to be that way too.

My first experience with shaved pubes was at age 13 or so. I didn't have any pubic hair, but my friend did, and one day he told me that he had shaved it off by way of experiment. :dong: Several years later at 15, I shaved mine for the first time. I did it after the end of the school year since I didn't want to get any stares in the high school gym locker room.

Right now, I am at full bush, but I am thinking about shaving again. Usually I shave in summer and let things grow back over the winter. However, in Japan nobody shaves, so when I travelled over there recently, I was careful to let my hair grow out beforehand. That way I wouldn't attract as many stares or strange comments in the public baths. I did hear a remark or two along the lines of, "The foreigner has blonde pubic hair."

I like the feel of shaved balls, but my wife prefers them hairy. However, on the occasion when she shaves me, she usually does the works - balls and all.

I don't think its uncommon. I know that I'm not the only one who's is shaving. And many straight man are shaving. It has become popular along the young straight men. I'm thinking in Germany pubic shaving has become as normal as not shaving.

Of course you'll find much more shaved women if you are going to a sauna, but shaved men will be there too. Not as much as you'll find shaved women, but you'll find some.

I'm shaving because I've a very havy hair growth. And of course I like to be shaved.
