Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
Body shaving is very popular today and pubic shaving too.
It's quite curious that when I was in my early 20's that opening the top buttons of my shirt to reveal body hair was sexyish for me. In the 70's mens body hirsute body hair was considered very sexual.
As I became older and I guess as I saw more images of smooth men, the attraction grew more and more. Off came all the body hair for good and my pubic hair has either been trimmed or shaved off. Smoothness is far more beautiful.
If there was a difference of opinion between Gay men about shaving and Straight men I think the balance is about even today. For virile men shaving is a turn on for a number of reasons.
1) It feels and looks good.
2) One can feel contact between your Denims or briefs directly against your skin which is pleasant.
3) Sometimes on a warm day a draught of air will rise up your shorts or trousers and tickle your pubic area; this can be quite delicious.
4) Virile Guys 'equipment' feels bigger and is more easily aroused by the contact with clothes etc... It's a turn on.
Many of these reasons apply to Eunuchs and small built guys too. Certainly there is a mental connection between wanting your "switched off" penis
to appear in harmony with the way you feel and the removal of pubic hair
is a major + in completing that look; so, for some Guys there is an emasculatory element I think. However I reckon that as many Guys do shave to enhance their sexual awareness as there are men choosing not to connect
along those lines. Body shaving including armpits is popular too because in summer it can communicate the same kind of sexual message today that having a hairy shirt opening had 30 years ago. If a man has smooth pits, then the onlooker may well choose to reflect just how much more is smooth too:)
I imagine that for the youngest sexual men body hair is still seen as a sign of their arrival at manhood and so I would imagine that they retain their bushes
until they've had a few years to think and then start trimming/ shaving away at them.
I don't see Circumcision and Castration as being directly relevant. Either one got circed as an infant, or you didn't although possibly with Adult circumcision
the combination of shaving away the pubic bush adds to appearance "down there". The thought processes that men go through before they reflect and consider Chemical or full castration, or equally validly any other modification,
such as penectomy are far removed from an interest in using scissors to trim,
or a Shaving Can to shave. An interest in shaving is equally appreciated, or not, among all men. Generalisation is always an unsafe territory to enter but I am enjoying the thread very much; it's very welcome indeed.

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
I am 41, castrated and take testosterone, before my castration i was extremely hairy,( a thick mat )all over ny body, not alas including my head, that went when I was 22. I am still hairy since I take testosterone, but I have shave my scrotum and my cock and clip around my cock, I have to shave, not because I want to look pre-pubesant, and in my case that would never be achiveable as I would be in the bathroom for hours.
I actually shave because my body hair, grows down my shaft, not just a few hairs, but left to its own devises it grows thickly and all the way up my shaft, like wise my public hair, is thick and black, and I shave my scrotum cause I dont see the point of having a hairy flat scrotum>I am not particularily well hung, and it does enchance it.
I am desparate to have a circumcision, but getting one in the UK, is depedant upon you having Phomosis, as my foreskin retarcts, I have been told I will never recieve a circumcision on the National Heath( bugger)

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
As you probably know many athletes shave hair from their legs or body for several reasons. Swim team guys shave off body hair to give them more speed in the water for racing. I have tried pubic shaving a couple of times but found that the hair is there for a purpose. During hot weather while working in really hot dry dusty conditions I would get terrible heat rash in the shaved area. The hair served as a cushion to prevent chafing in that area and help the sweat run off, acting as a cooler when it evaporates. Also it is very itchy when it grows back!

ukeunuch I do hope that I have some useful news for you. I don't want to wander off subject but circumcision is in the thread title. I noticed a posting placed in the Google group alt.circumcision on Friday 15th September by a UK guy who was experiencing the same lack of support that you have.
However he managed to get the circumcision he wanted for £500 and fairly
speedily too. He has quoted a website http://www.circumcision-agency.com/index.html.
I know nothing about this agency, you'll have to convince yourself about it, but I pass the information on merely as a link that recently crossed my screen.
I have no association with this group and neither is this a recommendation either; you're on your own on it.
Should this posting be regarded as inappropriate, I've no doubt it won't make the site, but it appears that maybe the NHS could do with updating their information and support for adults seeking to make an adult choice.

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
Interstingly is has been for the past sixty years here in the U.S. the almost universal practice to circumcise male babies, the rationale being that unless a foreskin is kept clean there can be a risk of skin cancer. I was automatically circumcised at birth 58 years ago. I might add that with a newborn the operation is painless and quickly heals, while I understand that for an adult recovery is not painless. Best of luck.Sac_mec (imported) wrote: Sun Sep 17, 2006 10:35 pm ukeunuch I do hope that I have some useful news for you. I don't want to wander off subject but circumcision is in the thread title. I think that during all my years in school in the U.S., I only saw one uncircumcised dick, and it was on a boy that had immigrated from Yugoslavia. Once it was done to every boy. Now, many parents are opting out of circumcising their sons. None of my grandsons have been circumcised.

Of course you'll find much more shaved women if you are going to a sauna, but shaved men will be there too. Not as much as you'll find shaved women, but you'll find some.
I'm shaving because I've a very havy hair growth. And of course I like to be shaved.
I agree. My Doctor has never commented on me being bare although a urologist asked me if I had any problems with ingrown hairs. I just told him to shave with cream rinse instead of shaving cream. He laughed *I'm guessing he does not shave his pubes. Anyhow, I don't have ANY interest in being pubesent. Sweat (from arm pit hair), Hair between the teeth (Oral sex), overall "look" these are the reasons I've been bare for many years. In fact its been so long since I had a bush that I've been thinking of laser removal. Can anyone comment on that? Costs, does it really work?

I personally don't have thick enough hair in my pits or on my pubes to think seriously about permanent and complete removal. Mine's also light. It's as much for these reasons as any other that I only keep the hair in these places only trimmed.
However, I did want to have bare genitals and lose the hair at the base of my cock and on my empty sac. I went to quite a few electrolysis sessions from another gay man. It's kewl having guys bite my empty sac and not get a mouth full of hair, and many like to do it. Laser also works except that it won't remove grey hairs. I asked the guy who performed my electrolysis if anyone had ever asked him to remove pubic hair, and he said not. I think most shavers nevertheless want to preserve the ability to growit again should they wish. Most lasering is done on backs and chests.

Finally I get some comments on circumcision.... Thanks!
Personally, I am not circumcised, but you would never know it as I have a naturally short foreskin. I can pull it over the glans, but it won't stay there. for many years as a teenager, I never really knew if I was circumcised or not. finally I got my mother to tell me that I wasn't....
I do recall a circumcised adult friend saying that he really wished that his foreskin hadn't been removed as a baby. So I guess it all depends on your point of view.

The REAL MrT would never have this problem (or admit it) but when I was getting my physical my Doctor asked me if I had any difficulty retracting my forskin. I was flabbergasted but stammered out "no" The truth is I was circumsized as an infant I was just shrunken down due to not being really comfortable with her seeing me in the buff.

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
The first time I was shaved I was 17. I was in the hospital for a hernia operation. The male nurse came in to shave me. I got hard and he shaved me smooth as a little boy. When I went back to school my tiny little pee pee and my shaved dick made me look like a 10 year old. I was only allowed to swim for PE so I had to be with the 10th graders. When they saw me in the locker room they laughed at my tiny, shaved dick.
Since then I have regularly shaved my dick. I have always believed that real men have a thick bush of pubic hair. Shaving my dick is one step on the way to castration for me. I shave with an electric razor. I go to the gym and the pool and all the guys see my tiny, shaved dick. I only have 1 inch when soft so the lack of pubes shocases my tiny dick.

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
I was 21 and in college. I had to shower with the guys on my floor and the showers were in one big room. One day I shaved off all my pubes because I wanted to remove my man hair and expose my tiny little dick. I tried to avoid the guys but one day I was naked in the shower when 4 guys came in. I didn't hear them so they saw my tiny, shaved dick. They didn't say anything then but later each of them asked me what had happened to my pubes. I knew that they thought I was gay because I shaved. I told them that I was shaved so my doctor could take care of a tumor on my testicles.
I had some magazines with bondage pics in them. I also had some castration stories that I had written. One of the guys, a muscular hunk from the football team caught me jerking off to the pics and he read the stories I had written.
He made me suck him and he told me that I should shave my pubes regularly. I love to shave my bush and I love having other people see my smooth groin. It really turns me on.

I like the look and feel of being shaved, but I have never associated it with nullification/castration/penectomy. I find lots of pubic hair to be a major turnoff.

I never liked my pubic hair. I've been shaving during my teens. Lucky I did not have to shower in PE. When I was 26, I started electrolysis, it took two years to completely removing my pubes and armpits. A few other guys said that I should keep some hair down there, but I like being smooth. It feels really good.
I am not castrated.

I have been shaving for a while. Puberecent? NO. It took me a while to disreguard the gay stareo type and just go with it. When you have oil applied to the crotch area you find so much hidden pleasure below the hair it drives me crazy. I spend less than 1 min in the shower everyday to keep it smooth, mound, balls, thighs, dick. No more hair pulling, just errotic smoothness.

I don't like the hair, thats why I'm shaving. During hot weather I like to be shaved, because I feel better. I see the whole thing opposite to you, the sweat runs off without hair much better.
But, everybody is free to shave or not to shave. I've decided to shave, because I like it and I'm thinking I feel beter, when I'm shaved.

I have a tiny, little penis. It is only 4 inches when hard. I have kept it shaved most of the time since I was 17. When I would compare my tiny thing to other guys in the locker room and other places, it would make me feel like less of a man. For me, it was a step toward castration. The shaving of my pubes was and is a major part of that process, for me. It only highlights my tiny little penis. My tiny penis, and my shaved cock and balls, as well as being seen, are all part of my castration fastasy that continues to move toward reality.

I don't seee shaving as a step in that direction. Its quite usual to shave pubic hair. An many people are doing it - I do it my self. In the locker room and in the showers none will ask anything.
Perhaps I'm too much european. Here you can the many shaved guys and its quite normal.

Perhaps he shaves with a straight razor - if one's not too careful with one of those he could quite posibly remove more than just hair...

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
Thanks for reviving my old thread. I prefer to be shaved and also prefer to have my wife do it to me. However, I travel often to Japan where the men do not shave thier pubes. So I have to let my hair grow out so that they don't stare at me in the public baths. I do hear comments like "The Gaijin [foreigner] has blonde pubic hair," etc. Actually, my pubic hair isn't blonde but more of a medium brown, but to an oriental it is light colored in comparison.
Now that I am planning to stay home in the US for a while, I'm going to have my wife shave me again. Sorry, but she doesn't use a straight razor, guys!:D

Re: Pubic shaving, circumcision, and castration
I bought this battery powered shaver that comes with 3 different combs.
Each comb will trim your hair down to a different length.
It is designed to help you get rid of long body hair and keep it trimmed short.
While I agree I like the smooth hairless look and feel much better, I also don't like the chore of shaving, or the irritation of the hair growing out when I don't have an opportunity to keep shaven.
This little razor is painless, safe, quick and easy to use and it helps me keep all of my body hair, arms, legs, airpits, pubic, shaven short so that for me it looks pretty good.

I've kept my pubes bare for the majority of my adult life. It looks better and feels better, IMHO. I've used a wide variety of approaches. Currently I have a rechargeable Norelco Body Shaver. It is designed for...............shaving men's bodies and it does a decent job with little effort. My wife's Seiko shaver does a better, closer job, but it is slower and requires more effort for me to use.
I was circumcised at birth (Jewish doctor and all that, beside Americans my age are all cut) and I have no real desire to be castrated, so one can take that for what its worth.
