Meeting Of Members

With the new year started, I think it is time to start some planning of the Eunuch Archive gatherings around the USA and Canada We had several in 2006 and they seemed to be well liked.

Therefore, I am looking for places where we can meet and get to know one another better. Hoping to have many events in 2007. We had four official events last year and many more unofficial events. As last year, these events are open to all friends of this site.

No requirement to be castrated or even have desires to be castrated. All and I mean ALL sexes are welcome.

I would expect the events would be similar to last year's format. The main gather is a barbeque on Saturday. In the past, many arrive a day or so early or stay a day longer.

Right now, I am looking for general locations that you would be interested in attending. Such as LA, Texas, Southeast.

We will try to have events around where there is the highest interest.

Looking forward to meeting many of you this year.

Bobbie, Time to put up a map like you did last year, only one of the USA and Southern Canada.

I just wish I could attend them all.

I certainly plan to attend as many as I can fit into my schedule - certainly all of them in the West (from San Diego to BC). I'll PM you with my current schedule for travel in the middle and eastern parts of the country. If things work out for others, I could always extend a trip earlier or later to see some of the great people here. I'd go well out of my way to hug Christina again....

Had a great time last year and look forward to getting to as many as possible. I will definately make the midwest meetings and applied for a passport needed for Canada this year. I am planning a trip to BC and no date set other than summer 2007.

I have put a map program up to show the locations of people that want to attend the meetings. Knowing where people are will help chose location. If you care to be at the meeting you may add your name to the map. You can use a general location if you do not want to give actual location. Pick a nearby city. Please if you use a name other then the one you use for the message board please send me a private massage so I can know who is interested. Detail location information is only given out to attendees.

I am very much looking forward to seeing all of you again. I sincerely hope the meeting agenda for this year includes the Great Midwest.

Hopefully the weather will be better this time. Never the less, it was still a great time last year.

Dumb question.... how come when I go to the map I can only see bobbie and myself when I see others are saying they put a marker on the map?

I do not know. I am having problems as well. I can only see my posting on the map and I am the owner of the map. Will have to look into it. Hope to see you at one of the events.

Click on the link Bobbie first provided.

When the map is rendered, click on the map admin icon: Bobbie

Now you will see the map with all those who posted their position on the map.Have fun...

Oh by the way, you can drill down into the map and move the map viewing position as well.

Why not proceed to organize it? No good reason it can't be done. Perhaps a few folks can organize to have them in few regions, so travel is easier for more members.

I have already warned both jobs I will be taking vacation this year. Of course I did not share that it would be for a MOM. There is nothing and no one to prevent me from attending.

I tried the links but the map will not display on my computer - I think my firewall is blocking it for some reason. I am in the lower part of Illinois - south of I-64. I will travel but only 200-300 miles max.

i had heard there may be one in March in Los Angeles, CA. its only about a thousand from here but i am game. i have room in my car for IEunuch and Sarah and possibly one other. I believe CraftyWulf is on the way so that should be a full monte(carlo). hehehe

they are great and Bobbie is gawd for organizing them. we all had a great time, and Sarah, (who's only official interest in this group is as my (very understanding) friend), even had a blast and wants to meet Tina and the gang (Lilac too). we all had fun last year and are looking forward to more of the same this year. Everyone that comes, bring something of yourself as well. we promise to host more nekked yahtzee tournaments (thats a house joke shared by a very small few but they know who they are (hehehehehe)).

and maybe this time we can give MacWolfe his dolly in person (if it is in LA)

oh i am so bad tonight.

and Yea, we need someone (or someones) in europe to get this kind of thing started over the pond as well. it also could be done in oz i am sure. we are only talking a barbeque in the park with friends that don't think we are different and that is a great help to all. we had dinner out a few times and mostly a lot of good personal chat. i was unaware of any activities that were rated pg at best. basically we are talking coffee at dennys here.

There is talk of having one in Toronto in the first half of April. Looks like several of us will be in the area. This would be the first international meeting we have had. That is if you count Canada as a international country from those of us in the states. I think of it as just our great northern neighbors.

Canada

is indeed an international country. Heheheh.

I'm kindof hoping there will be a Toronto meet in April, as I hope to be in that city sometime in April.

Oh, and that should be 'neighbours'.

YAY!!!

That's great news!! The first weekend of April is Easter so I assume that weekend is out since it is a holiday that most people will have plans for. The next weekend is bad for me but all the other weekend that month are wonderful. Also, during the week can be good for me depending upon the dates. The 10-20th are bad but other than that it should all work out well.

Let me know your thoughts. I am looking forward to it!

Just curious what plans are under consideration for a MOM in the late summer or early fall (August-ish to October-ish). I am thinking of traveling to the states during that time.

I am waiting on more input from the members as to where they would want meetings. At the present I am hoping to have a Meeting around the LA area in the states. This will happen in April. Have a few details to finalize first around the house. There may be a second meeting between LA and Wisconsin before or after the LA meeting. Early June I am looking at a meeting in the Midwest. Open for suggestions. Mid Minnesota or IL are a good possibility. Wisconsin would be the default. Had a great time at those last year. It is looking like the Toronto meeting in April will be put off to the end of June.

Hoping for more meetings through out the summer and fall. Would like the southern and Eastern meetings late in summer or fall.

Need help for suggestions on meeting locations.
