Dissappearing Threads
It seems as though some threads have disappeared and probably rightfully so. Who is behind that? The thread that I noticed gone or maybe I just can't find it was about castrating boys. There were many replies to this thread including the moderators. I replied to that thread yesterday and brought up some question of what it was about. Did what I said strike a chord? I think it is gone now. Which is fine. I was just feeling a little like Erkill, probably spelled wrong, did I do that?

Re: Dissappearing Threads
Hi Hairless,
I think I know the one your talking about. Was that the one where the original poster wanted to know what was the best age to castrate children? I recall you raised a red flag and I don't think you were the only person to find it just a bit, hmm... shall we say creepy? Not saying that the OP was really considering actually castrating small children, but I suspect that thread may have been removed to be on the safe side.

Yes Jema, that was the one. I was surprised it lasted as as long as it did. Thanks kristoff for using those shears. Now I know another thing they're used for.

Was that the one about some guy asking what benefits there are of pre-pubertal castration (with someone else replying "none, unless you're a dead pope?", probably A-1)?

I, too, noticed that a lot of threads, including what would be otherwise considered completely trivial and civil on topic threads, apparently vanished without a trace. I've lost about 20 of my posts because of this, however, that was nothing compared to about 500 to 1,000 posts lost by some of the compulsive veteran posters here.

We lost several thousand posts and hundreds of threads in last year's hacking and crashing.

Is that why my "Reasons to Believe" thread in the Dark Cellar disappeared? I thought it was getting too controversial as it seemed to be the only one missing from there after the attack. Or maybe I just can't find it. It had gotten a lot of replies, but they were starting to wander. I guess it doesn't matter in the long run.

I just did a rather thorough search of the archive and cannot find any thread by that name. Perhaps it had a different title. Otherwise, I doubt it was the only one missing - hackers in that kind of attack generally do not discriminate in what they F-up.

Yeah, I know where that red flag needed to go. But I rectum he would not have found it too pleasant.
Some of those bastards don't need castrated as badly as they need decapitated, lacking the technology for brain transplants...
