I, too, met Matt last summer in Portland, but all too briefly. My sympathy to his family and friends.

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
We do not know what happened to Matt. We found him not breathing when we tried to awake him Monday morning. I tried CPR but was not effective. We will have to wait and see what the coroner has to say. May be a few days for report. It looks like his funeral service will be here later in the week. Hoping for Wednesday, but need the release from the coroner. Matt's parents have been with Ralph and myself all afternoon night. We will know more details as they are finalized. We all thank you for all the kind words given us.
I have not been able to read all the very kind words said today. Was and is still too much of a shock for me Ralph and his family.
His mother and father were at our house today working out arrangements. I did tell them of some of the words that have been said and very much appreciated by them. That is one family (Matt's) that really seems to know the importance this site and the friends Matt made over the years. I will pass on the messages when time permits.
From all of us we thank this site long good friends of Matt

I find this baffling; I do not know what to say, should there be anything one could say, at such a time. Too fast, soon, young.... I will remember you: little else one can ask after - remember me, please!

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
All loaded in the RV, EA Central was on their way to Hell, Indiana for summer vacation but as it turned out, our little foray equaled in measure to the towns namesake. Having driven close to 10 hours, my passengers were beat from watching cars on the freeway pass us by. After shopping for groceries, to last the weekend, we spent the first night in a local campground. The next morning after breakfast, we drove to Hell, Indiana's local resort.
Never seeing the likes of Riverwind or Luvpain, we found a couple of strangers standing at the entrance gate awaiting our arrival. The original plan was to meet the evening before but the beginning of Hell weekend limited our movement once inside the city limits. In all reality, we were just plain late. Back to the smiling faces, greeting us at the entrance gate were Luvpain and Riverwind. This was beginning of a long and memorable relationship of ups, downs and who knows what else to call our association with Luvpain. Oh, least we not forget, River.
My last occasion to visit with Luvpain was Memorial Day Weekend. We spent some fun loving time in Wisconsin Dells. Luvpain, the ever-youthful train lover, ensured Bobbie, Ralph and I road a couple of miniature trains while camping that weekend. In all honesty, one of those miniature trains was quite impressive. Steam driven and accurate in most detail, I found a love for trains much like Luvpain's, albeit at only one percent. It was fun to see the joy and happiness in his face while riding the trains that weekend.
Matt suffered from many disorders but that didn't stop him from enjoying and loving life. He ventured into areas most would avoid. Look at his IAM page. I cannot think of one E.A. member who opened his heart as much as Matt or was that his wallet. I am not sure I know anyone who submitted as many pictures of body modifications as Matt. I don't know anyone who spent as much money on goods at BME. I certainly don't know anyone as proud of his body modifications as Matt. I can tell you some funny stories of our first meeting with Matt back in Hell. It wasn't more than 5 or 6 hours after arriving in camp when out of nowhere he offered to show us all his body mods. There was no modesty in this young man, only pride in his accomplishments.
Soon Matt was more involved in the chat server than anyone ever expected. Computers were the love of his life and Matt contributed greatly to the improvement of E.A.'s lonely chat server. Many times over the years, as a chat server system operator, Matt made quite an impression on those lucky enough to engage his wit. Sure, there were times some folks had no clue to the underlying humor but once you knew Matt it was readily apparent.
I have so much to write about Matt, it will take time, a lot of time. Like most, I am truly shocked and saddened by his early departure. This event marks a new beginning and a definite end to one of our most colorful personalities here at the Eunuch Archive.
Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed and know our lives will never be the same.

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
I'm shocked and very sorry to hear the terrible news. I tried to write a response late yesterday, but the words didn't come. Matt was the first person I met from EA, and was kind enough to look after me when I was there in Philadelphia having surgery.
I feel like a monster for not keeping in contact, life just always seems to get in the way. It's just so unexpected that I'm not even sure where to begin.
Matt, I'm sorry. I hope wherever you are now that you are happy.

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
I'm very sorry to hear about Matt's (Luvpain's) passing away. Death and losing someone close to you is never easy, and their passing is more difficult when it is sudden and unexpected like this.
My sympathy and condolences to Matt's (Luvpain's) family and friends. I will keep him and them in my thoughts and prayers.
Matt (Luvpain) was a very big part of Eunuch Archive. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered here.

OneBallBoi (imported) wrote: Tue Jun 12, 2007 8:35 am Many of you know that Matt (Luvpain) and I were extremely close. I became internet accessible in Feb or Mar, 2001. One of my first searches was "castration" and I came to Eunuch Archive where I met Matt. I shared with him that I was a Christian struggling with the identity of being Gay. He shared with me that he had the same problem. We grew closer are we shared our faith in Jesus Christ together with our desires to become Eunuch. I am going to miss Matt one supreme lot. We were so close together. But I know that absent from the body means present with the Lord. Matt's soul is in heaven today. God bless you Matt. You are going to missed by me till I get up in heaven someday.
OneBallBoi, thank you for providing this information about Matt being a Christian. Since I live on the west coast, I never had the pleasure of meeting Matt. From what those of you that knew him say, he was a wonderful young man. There must be some truth in the saying, "The good die young". We don't know why we are given the things in our lives that trouble us so much. Perhaps it is to help us become strong so we can help others. In his short time with us, I think Matt's life did help others. He must have done well as the Lord saw fit to take him home to his reward. That is the greatest comfort for those of us that are Christians.

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
Here is a message I am passing on from someone else who met him once online:
Dear friends:
Despite that i had shared only a few minutes with Matt on a teleconference in one of the last meetings he attended, thanks to lilac, i felt terribly sad with the shocking news of his fate.
Please, let his family and friends know that am sending my most sincere condolences and regret about their loss.

i only have this to add, life begins after death..this is not *life*, for the record i am not a christian, i think i believe in God (the God of the bible) but choose not to follow him, for many reasons..
he knows now what we do not.
I hope you are in a safe and loving place away from this cruel world.

The private service will be held in the Milwaukee area Wednesday afternoon. I have been passing on the messages from then board to his family. They very much knew how much the EA was to Matt all these years. Expecting our house full of people shortly so I need to do a lot of preparing.

Send my sympathies to all.
You know, our regular posters seem to by dying an a rate that is statistically high, given the size and age range of this group, or from what I have come to understand.
Is this not strange?
Or, a little paranoia goes a long, long way...

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
We did indeed receive information from the coroners office yesterday to confirm that Matt's death was from natural causes. He is going to be missed by all of us. He was loved. Praise the Lord, God took him from us because his work here on earth was completed.

While I am very sad for the loss of Matt for my own sake, I am very happy for Matt. He is free from his earthly pain, he is free from all anguish, he is FREE. Now he is with the Lord.

Allthough I also never met him, I don't like to read these sorrows. It fills my heart with grief. One would like to turn back time.
Otherwise the mass of posting here proofs again the most beautiful community the the eunuch.org community is. That makes the feelings of deep sorrow somewhat easier to bare.

I am very sorry but I have not read most of the post yet. Has been too hard to even face the computer. I have logged on just to let his friends know what is happing. I will send all the post on to his family. They knew just how important the EA was to his life for so many years.
From what we have been told he did not suffer any pain as he passed away in his sleep. It looks like it was natural cause, a heart condition.
His family told me how very great full they were for all the kind words and thoughts expressed from his many, many friend of this site. His parents are most thankful to Eunuch Archive.

I want to thank everyone for their concern and prayers for Bobbie and I and for the family of Luvpain99. It has been one of the most difficult periods of our lives. But Matt would want us to move forward with our lives. I will cherish the times that I had with him for my entire life. He was precious.

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
Bobbie invited me to the funeral and I met his wonderful family. We had our MOM Breakfast a week ago Wednesdy. I was a sudden shock to loose Matt.
Bobbie you gave Matt a great life with the travels over the past several years and helping him with his medical problems. Very few people will give as much love to someone like Matt for a better quality of life. OBB was also a big help in this challanging time.

Re: Matt (Luvpain) Has Passed Away
It is always sad when somebody dies and specially somebody's child. I did not know Matt but it does not matter, I feel with his parents.
As, A-1 mentioned regular posters are dying at high rate. I often wonder when somebody stops posting suddenly..for example N3f has been silent for a while and believe it or not I am worried why? My sympathies to Matt's Parents and all the people who loved him. H.
Off topic. As an aside, N3RF is still alive and delusional (I get mail from him all the time). He was asked to leave.... because of seriously offensive posting (most of which was removed).
On topic. It sounds as though Matt had some very supportive, caring family, to say nothing of a cadre of good, close friends. I am sure he will be remembered well!
