The Big MidWest MOM's Event of 2007:

Post by bobbie (imported) »

Meeting of Members MOM

Looks like the MOM will be August 17,18,19 In the Minneapolis MN area this year. This is the Midwest one.

There will be another one in the West coast later in the year. The East Coast is next month.

It appears that more can make this weekend then the one originally planned. There will be camping available in the area. Several of us will be camping. There are also many motels close by. From the looks of things this will be by far the largest group we every had. The count may go as high as around 25 people this time. The Main meeting will be Saturday afternoon and evening. Friday and Sunday most of us will be having an informal meeting and fun. Going out for dinner and chat.

All from this site are welcome to the event. All sexes, genders, or lack of are welcome. This is a great way to meet people that you see in the postings in the message board or chat on line.

I will most definitely be there. And no one is allowed to use that as an excuse NOT to attend....

I have every intention of being there. However, my work schedule may play a factor in this... I currently have thursdays/fridays off but might be able to swap days with someone or just plain old call in sick that weekend... Either way, I am Uber excited to be there!!

Hmmm... that's not all that far away from me. I think I might could maybe swing that -- sounds like it might be interesting.

I will change my plans for the new dates. I do have a question. If I meet a Nun of high ranking order do I need to genuflect and kiss anything or is that just for the Bishop?

There will be at least one West Coast representative at the August gathering. I'll be making my reservations soon and will rent a car at the airport so that I can provide "Jesus Shuttle Service" as needed. I'm even willing to stand at baggage claim with a large sign.

I want to see you standing there with a large sign that says "EUNUCH", or perhaps one that says "MOM" while meeting a large hairy man. --FLO--

We used to go to vacation in the fall, in the lake country north of the Twin Cities. August is a little early for that. Still, this reminds me of some happy memories. Maybe we could go on north to Bemidji after the meeting and spend a week at a resort. It would also be an excuse to go on a shopping expedition at the Mall, though I'm not normally a big spender on occasions like that. Something to think about, I guess. These meetings, from what I have read, seem to have the atmosphere of reunions rather than of club events, so they do sound like fun.

The gatherings I have been to have been incredible experiences. People who do not even know each other's real names are into immediate hugs and a feeling that we are all family. I feel closer to some of the people I have met through the Archive than I do to many of my biological kin.

Amazingly little of the conversation at any of the gatherings has to do with Archive topics. It's as if we are all long-lost cousins discovering each other after many years.

As Bobbie's partner, of course I will be there and so won't Luvpain. Someone was asking what it was like. A fair amount of laughing and joking. There is always topic to talk about. We all talk a whole bunch. And we eat! It is great to put a face with a name you seen on this board. Having Jesus there will be a special treat. He is incredibly the most intelligent person on the subject of castration, gender disfunction and a whole lot of other subjects too. You all will learn somethng new from him. I am very much looking forward to this weekend.

Heck, a batch of the Eunuch Central crew drove a lot more than that to visit Paolo in Hell about 4 years ago on a Labor Day weekend. Shoot, gotta do that again, via Illinois or such and visit someone else along the way...

I used to live near Hell, Michigan, then I moved to southern Illinois.

Having another meeting more in central states is still possible for later in the year. Luvpain and OneBallBoi have family there and we may visit them again. Could put together a meeting during the trip.

I just can't bare the thought of not seeing those of whom I've already had the pleasure of meeting as well as the opportunity to make new acquaintances.

I've booked my flights and will be arriving late in the afternoon on Friday. I'm looking forward to the event with great anticipation. :)

Great too add you to the ever growing list of friends. There are a few that have contacted my in private that will also attend.

The final location will be sent to those attending. It will be close to the twin cities. Location will depend on the total number attending.
