Well I work at the airport, so depending on what time folks come in I could drive some out to their hotels at the end of my shift. I'd have no problem doing that.

Hi Everyone,

I have checked out the airfares for the trip this year and OMG! I was able to fly last year for $98.00 round trip. This year the same trip is $218.00!

Beside the cost, I need to conserve my vacation time for my upcoming medical leave of absence from work that will occur this coming September/October with the SRS.

I hate to say it but I'm going to have to miss the MOM this year as well as all of you. :(

Well, Erica Ann, I'd say that is a very good reason for not attending the MOM. --FLO--

Hi Erica Ann,

I totally understand your reasons for not being able to attent the Midwest MoM. I'm at a much earlier stage of transitioning and I'm already thinking about conserving money and vacation time.

I'm sorry I won't have the chance to meet you, though, but hope we have that chance sometime in the future.

You have my best wishes for all your upcoming transition plans.

I'm checking to see if I can do it this year. Really enjoyed last year's. I've subscribed to this thread, just so that I can keep up with the very latest. Isn't technology wonderful, but not nearly as much as friends.

My flight in is booked.

If something goes wrong with that, I'll just drive. Done it before.

He was there last year, too, along with his light sabre - scared shit out of some folks at the Hog Trough where we all met for dinner the first night.

Seeing Dr Bowers for SRS is more important then yucking it up with me?!? How can that be??

😄

Anyway when you do go to Trinidad tell us when where (in an email or?) so we can send a card. Humm... new catagory of cards? Suddenly I'm bent over laughing thinking of the new cards that sing or have a message when you open them. What kind of message????

I was thinking of sending my family a birth announcement after the surgery. Kind of along the lines "It's a Girl" Erica Ann was born at 7 AM on Friday, September 19, 2008. A bouncy healthy girl 6'-1" and 175 pounds.

What do you think? 😄

I think its a great idea! You do have to promise to send my thanks to Dr Bowers for being one of my plan "B"s when the uro I was working with went wacky btw.

A great example of what we all love about you - a wonderful sense of humor and joie de vivre. I know we'll all miss you at the MoM, but it'll be in a good cause.

I absolutely love your idea and what an exciting time this will be for you. Letting the family know of your 'arrival' is very sweet 😄

Plix,

Knowing that you will be at the MoM is another good reason for me to be anxious for the arrival of August. :-)

YAY!

I know I didn't make it last year, but I will be there this year! I will need lots of help 'cause I cannot drive.

So if anyone can offer advice how to get there or how to get about when there, please offer to me. :D
