It does seem really good to meet new faces at each MoM. It always is amazing that I find NO WEIRDO's at any MoM's. Every Eunuch looks like a normal human being. Funny thing.

I havent seen any wierdos yet, Im so disappointed. I'll have to stick to the normal folks Im seeing at the place.
BTW -- I showed! Monday came about and I couldnt pass up a chance to make a showing to see a wonderful group of people. I drove 12.5 hours to get here. Arriving at 1:30 AM!
I've met new folks I didnt see last year.
We also have some beautiful women among us this year. Danya, Lilac, and Daughter are all eye candy we get to enjoy.
Today is breakfast -- off to pitch a tent.

I wish I could have been there this year. Have fun and a few cocktails for me.
I'll be thinking about you.![]()
Greetings Erica Ann,
Friday evening, several of us went to Camp Bar in downtown Saint Paul. People who have met you wished you were here with us. They had so much fun with you along last time.
We had a few drinks and enjoyed Miss TiNea's Pop and Soul Review. Some of us may go to Gay 90s in Minneapolis tonight. Can you make it to town this evening?
Hugs,
Danya

Krister and I were just discussing that we were also a bit disappointed by the turnout in what promised to be an even bigger MOM than last year. It's turning out to be a smaller one, but we're still having fun.
Your loss, for those who didn't show up.

This is my first ever MOM and so far I have had a terrific time. For today's events at Eunuch Central, I didn't arrive until the latter part of the afternoon because I haven't been feeling well. Once I got there, I perked up
If there are fewer attendees this year, I have been in no way disappointed with anything although I can understand how the organizers and others behind all the good stuff at the Archive would be. What a great opportunity this has been to continue some existing friendships and form new ones. There is still more to come tomorrow

Hi I had a great time at the MOM on Saturday night, although I could only spend a short time there do to schedule problems.Everyone made me feel more then welcome. Bobbie served some great steaks "whew no leg of lamb" I didn't get to see or spend as much time with everyone but "ILLLLL be bawwwk" hahah.
I know that everyone that couldn't make it had there own reasons. I hope they can make it next year. Dave

I heard you managed to see Lilac but she didn't get to ride on your back. I had promised her a sheepback ride and I was to throw in the spurs
Maybe next year I can attend and Lilac can "spur on a wolf" - woo hoo

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
I would proclaim this years MoM a huge success. From Kristoff and his Red Nun's outfit and funs to Paolo and his light saber. Again Kristoff with his foam pistol toy pellet gun. The people the hog trough wondering if we were sane. To new learning and education for Levi20. The great disappointment to me was being down in numbers. We had far fewer at the 2008 MoM compared to the 2007 MoM. Anyone who did not make this year and was at prior years MoM's has changed their priorities and moved on to other interests and likely will never be back. Where are your priorites? You all have fun here on the boards and in the chat 52 weeks a year. Make your priorites right and start a savings plan to save the money for next years MoM. 12 months is a long way to the next MoM. You all had your chance to come to this one. Set your priorities right. Having a whole weekend with your peers is some awesome feeling. Having no one look down on you for how you feel and think.

Yeah, well, for anyone who missed it - YOUR LOSS!
It was, and for the moment while it's winding down, still is a good time.
Even as we speak, Gem is serving melons!

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
It has been a hectic several days, which, regrettably, have come to an end. Perhaps, good for a tired body, but sad for leaving and saying goodbye to very dear friends. There were many who showed up over several days, affording great opportunity to be a tour guide and dinner host.
Much of the day, Thursday, was spent in the company of Paolo and Jesus, touring the notorious Uptown and Lyn-Lake districts. Notorious for what, I don't know, but they are. Nevertheless, enjoyable day, with a big lunch at Famous Dave's, a bit of respite, then on to the convent.
About a dozen of the local and early arriving members spent most of the
Friday, a return trip to a favored store in Uptown (no, not Sex World), a couple other quick stops, and then errands to be ready for the wine and cheese reception at Jesus and Paolo's hotel room. After the wine tasting, a trip to the Hog Trough.
Although I called for a reservation on a banquet room, I think the staff at the restaurant were a bit terrorized by the whole entourage. Of course, we didn't do much to calm their concerns. Admittance to the dining room was costly. A kiss to the nun (either cheek, ring, or elsewhere) was required for admittance. ALL paid, some quite well. We did have a visit from the Dark Lord and his minion. The Light Saber was flashing and darts were flying. No one left unscathed. The deadly duo kept an unruly crowd at bay, allowing the remaining patrons the opportunity to finish their dinners and flee in terror.
Of course, some folks did the evening bar tour and were late for River's pancakes the next morning. Tsk, tsk. Not good to upset someone who has a jar of testicles on his mantel. Aside from River, Chef Bobbie (who organized much of this get together) did his best to fatten everyone up, serving both lunch and dinner, then scolded folks for only having three helpings. Heh. Twas a long, well-fed, and satisfying day. Several folks showed up for the day or just for a quick visit on Saturday. It is always great to put a face to a name. Welcome to all the new faces this year; those who missed, well, the nun does own a yard stick....
The nun finally showed up midday on Sunday in duty uniform - she was probably busy at Communion on Saturday, urp. (Fresh case of Canadian Communion Whisky.) We caught several folks on Sunday in rather sinful (and blackmailable) behavior - we do have the photos - and on Sunday, of all days.
Everything came to a close about 7PM on Sunday, with the last members regrettably departing. Several flights out on Monday, leaving a vacuum. I'll miss the quick kiss of someone special, and look forward to many more. There WILL be more MoM's and likely some other visiting between them.
And now you have the rest of the (ahem,) story. Anything else I will readily deny.

of fine steaks, trimmings, fine wine, lots of good conversation, altogether a great time. The pets were not in good attendance; we have had a mysterious decline in the local squirrel population and they stayed away.

The big event that you'll all regret having missed was Sister's blessing of the two Altar Boys. That was one for the record books!
(No, we didn't kidnap local kids - we used the 2 youngest members of the MOM who were present. They know who they are!)

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
The only guest from ways away here is now IE. Bob, Ralph, Todd, and Rita just left.
It was a fantastic time had by all for those that attended. So much hard work went into this get-together it is not funny.
For those that helped, especially Krister, Tom, Ralph, Todd, and the incredible Bobby, thank you so much for your love of others and all of what you did. To all the others that assisted, thank you so much. To all whom attended, thank you so much. There is little doubt this was the finest group of folk assembled in one area.
To those that did not attend, perhaps another day, but you really missed out on one of the best of times. If you really dare, ask the good sister what it is like to have a catheter in your mouth.

To say the least. If I wasn't laughing at Kristoff, I was laughing at Paolo. Those two together keep you in total stitches. The MoM's are always a blast watching. You all missed a great deal.

I've made it part of my journey home. Tomorrow I make the next leg and on that leg I get to spend time with the lovely Lilac while I take her halfway to her next destination.
I had a lot of fun. River is an absolute Trip. Danya, Daughter, and Lilac are some heck of eye-candy to view... even if I am gay.
I made a few more connections and gained some life long friends. Just like what a MoM is meant for.

Safe journey for Lilac, Incuse and everyone else returning home from MoM. This morning, I was in tears on the way to work thinking of the great people I met and not knowing when I may see them again.
Overall, MoM was fantastic. Kissing the red Sister's ring to gain entry to dinner at the Hog Trough was cool! As was meeting lots of neat folks.
The interplay between Paolo with his light saber and Kristoff with his foam bullet shooter thing helped get things really going Friday evening. The fact the numerous adults in the baquet room kept a eyeing us suspiciously is besides the point. Hell, that made things even more fun
I had a great time taking plix and tugon around and about. Not to mention getting time during our travels to get to know each of them better.
Many thanks to everyone involved in making this multi-day event such a success.
Incuse, you are once again adorable with your sweet comment about Daughter, Lilac and me. You are also very huggable!
Hugs,
Danya

The MoM was great. Yes the attendance was not what was hoped but several new folks and everyone who was there made it special. Much thanks to Bobbie, OBB, Krister, Talula, Riverwind and Jesus. I also want to thank Danya for much transportation and sharing her home with us. Binky thanks for a fun night out and I enjoyed talking with you. I am glad that many made the effort to attend. Once you attend a MoM you will not want to miss another.

I regret to say that I missed out on a big chunk of the MOM this year... My ride back into town wasn't as reliable as one could hope... Didn't make it home until very very late last night! I'm so sorry I missed out on most of the best parts! It was nice to see everyone though, you folk all rock my toe socks!

Re: Midwest Meeting of Members MOM
Its Tuesday I think, its raining, its about 10:30 in the morning and I am coming to grips with the fact that the party is over.
I must say that this years MOM was fantastic, we met some new people, some of them we have known for a long time but seeing them for the first time was wonderful.
Bobbie has really got it down, he has done several of these events so far and each one I attend gets better. The success for this years event goes to him and Ralph who I know helped quite a bit. As always this could not and would not have happened without his hard work.
The food, well all I can really say about that is that it was fun going off my diet for a few days. The food was great at every stop, from the wine and cheese party with Jesus, to the All you can eat place where kissing the ring or of Kristoff to enter, Light Saber's and dart guns, which everybody there enjoyed except those three fat broads at the other table (teach them to enter our room). We had a wonderful dinner at Kristoff's, the only problem was getting there using a GPS system, because they don't know about road construction and exits blocked. We drove for about 20 min. or so to get about a mile from where we were to Kristoff's house.
. Then the party seemed to really get started. We talked, ate, laughed, ate, told stories, ate. and then had lunch and well you get the idea. Bobbie not only hosted this event but also provided much of the food.
Thank you Bobbie, Ralph, and the others that made this happen.
