So I am wondering if there are some who want to be castrated to remove the testicles, accepting the results. In my case, I wanted to remove the effects of testosterone from my body, and castration was the easiest way to do it. See the difference I am getting at? Just something to think about.

A question for the elective eunuchs
I have just returned from the Sunday morning Scheduled Chat. Not much of a turn out. Sigh. But one of the guys set me thinking. As a general rule, eunuchs come in two varieties, elective and non-elective. The guy asked me why I wanted to remove my testicles. I've had this question asked before, of course. And it seemed he was more interested in the procedure rather then in the effects. And after all The Eunuch Archives is a part of BME.
So I am wondering if there are some who want to be castrated to remove the testicles, accepting the results. In my case, I wanted to remove the effects of testosterone from my body, and castration was the easiest way to do it. See the difference I am getting at? Just something to think about.

Re: A question for the elective eunuchs
i gather what you are saying is that some guys are primarily interesting in the act of getting castrated and then have to accept the results whereas there are others that what to have the results that castration produce. i basicly agree with what you are driving at. i have some difficulty of understanding why guys voluntarily become castrated and then take testosterone for maintaince of male libido. best way to maintain that if desired is to keep your functioning balls. some guys become eunuchs non voluntarily due to various reasons - then i can understand trt.

This is my first post so first of all thankyou all for this site. At the very least it has assured me that even though I must be strange in wanting castration at least I'm not the only one!
I think for me the removal of the testes and the consequent empty sac is the main motivation. Then inevitable effects of no testosterone then come second. As I'm getting more and more into the idea the effects of no testosterone seem more and more attractive. As this will effect me most post castration my feelings on this will have the greatest bearing on my decision to actually become a eunuch. I'm sure this group will help.

In that case, I would strongly suggest that you go to...
http://www.geocities.com/sherrylanina/Castration.html
This is the page that my friend Sherry Collins has put up regarding her castration, and as a guide to those thinking about this operation. It is probably the best resource on the web now that Jeff Adams is no longer active. Click on "The Effects Of Castration". Read it carefully. Even better, print it out so you can re-read it often. After that, feel free to ask us eunuchs any questions you may have on the after effects. And there WILL be after effects. Always remember that this is an irreversable step. Do not hope that TRT will make up for it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

that everyone must think this very same thing. You are certainly not the first to state this feeling, and I had the exact same reactions some years ago when I discovered EA. Re: A question for the elective eunuchs
Greetings, Andrew. Your posts and questions are always very useful and thought provoking.
I had myself castrated for several reasons:
1) To halt my body's production of those hideous androgens. Androgens, testosterone especially, do no good, but cause people to end up looking like men and wanting to play with their ugly weenies. It causes hair to grow all over your body, lowers your voice, thins your scalp hair, makes your veins stick out, distributes fat in the wrong places, prevents breast development, make people act like jerks...
I can go on and on.
2) It is a symbol of manhood. I am not a man. Those nasty things just take up space at the most inconvenient place. Getting them cut off makes clothes fit better, BTW.
3) I became a eunuch prior to sex reassignment surgery so that I could experience life as a eunuch. You can't do so after surgery, so there was my chance. I took it, spent part of my life as a eunuch, and can relate to my friends here. Now I'm just a woman. But have lived previously as a male and as a eunuch. I got a chance to see life and sexuality in three diferent formats.
Life is good!
Much love,
Kelly

I too have trouble completely understanding anyone voluntarily wanting to give up natural production of testosterone. However, having a low sex drive for several years as a result of taking medication for depression taught me that life without sexual intimacy can offer rich rewards--not always the ones that I most want.
This partly is why I enjoy the fantasy of having an intense sex drive combined with no penis (and sometimes, more importantly)no prostate gland. It has to do, of course, with childhood fears of castration.
As the same time, I very much interested in reading the effects of lower testosterone on us. This helpful information.
I am also intrigued by all the feeling we experience as we read the fantasies posted on this board.

These are in relation to a variety of posts in this thread and are not necessarily related to one another past that
For the record:
Even though we are graciously hosted by BME and are proud to be associated with them for all they do for the community, BME has never had any editorial input or control over the look or content of the Archive.

I am intrigued with your picture ... when did you 'come out' as a transsexual? You look female in that picture ... I would really love to hear your experiences growing up 'male', especially in regards to your sexual experiences and your feelings about your genitalia.
I know many transsexuals are sensitive about this, but I personally would be interested in seeing some pictures of you before the transition as a boy/teenager because I personally am fascinated with that transition (appearance) as much as with the changing genitals.

I take it you are asking if some seek castration for the purpose of going through the procedure, as opposed to seeking castration for the aftereffects.
To tell you the truth, I did not look forward to the procedure itself at all, and only wanted the aftereffects. Indeed, I I worried about things such as, would Spector's anesthetics be effective, would it hurt too much, was Spector too old to do this, and what if something went terribly wrong and I needed emergency treatment? On the day before my appointment, it was all I could do to pretend to be just another Philadelphia tourist and try to keep my mind off of what I was going to go through tomorrow. I had never had any type of surgery before, and the worst I had ever endured was getting my wisdom teeth pulled in 1997. The truth is, the castration procedure scared me, and I saw it as something I had to get through in order to obtain the benefits of castration.
What I really wanted was pretty much what Kelly wanted; that is, to stop testosterone production and make sure my body never became any more masculine. More immediately, I wanted to get rid of that male sex drive.
As it turned out, the procedure was not that bad, the anesthetics did work, and I had no complications, but I was so relieved when my surgery was finished. Then I waited for the effects of castration to take effect. I did not have to wait long. Even before I left Philadelphia, I started to feel a lot lighter and more calm all of the time. Except for occasional nocturnal erections, my male sex drive was almost entirely eliminated, good riddance
Last November I ended my experience as a eunuch when I started taking 1mg Estrace daily. I have not had any nocturnal erections for a few months, so I think and hope that the estrogen put out the last of the male sex drive. Curiously, I have had a few orgasms in my sleep during which I had no erection.
I often see in the eunuch newsgroup, as well as in some of my E-Mails, men asking me about castration while stating that they wish things such as feeling the pain, having a woman do it, or some other scene. While men who have such desires do not offend or me at all, I do have to worry if they are really going to be happy after the scene is finished and the aftereffects arrive. When someone expresses these desires, I do not give them the red light, but I do give the yellow light. The desire to go through the surgery procedure does not mean one should not be castrated; it does mean they should be very cautious, think about this a lot, and seriously consider what it will be like after the procedure.

I simply had an excessive libido problem. Before I made the final decision, I had several long talks with Jeff Adams, Dr. Spector's eunuch assisstent. Jeff also had this operation for libido control. We discussed the advantages and disadvatages of chemical castration vs. surgical castration. In the end I had no qualms about signing the consent form. And as of today I have NO regrets.

Thank you for your thoughtful feed back. As you may know, I have often referred those contemplating this operation to your web site and the page about the effects of castartion. I do worry that some will be castrated by choice but live to regret this decision.

Hi Andrew,
First of all, thanks for all your posts. I too , am far more interested in the effects, versus the procedure. I could care less about the actual procedure, as long as it is done properly. I myself would go to an M.D., ie. Dr. Kimmel.
I am a lifelong diabetic, who as a result is totally impotent. Nothing will help, viagra included. My libido is out of control, and is consuming my waking day, and in a real sense, destroying my life. .........So, my aim is to control these insatiable desires.
I have come to the conclusion that castration is the only way, although , I might try chemical methods first. Am interested in your results, feelings, etc. Would very much appreciate your feelings. Also, am very interested, in hearing that you are starting female hormones. I feel I would go the same route. I do not want to have SRS, but would not mind at all a bit of feminisation.
So, if you would please contact me, on occasion, and let me know how things are going, I would appreciate it. Again, thanks for all your posts.

Hi Andrew,

First off, I think you are confusing the posts of Sherry Collins and myself. Sherry Collins is the one starting female hormones, as she is on her way to full transition. I myself have chosen NO HRT, as I enjoy The Eunuch Calm and the release from the sex drive. As far as results and feelings go, feel free to e-mail me, but the short version is that I enjoy life without sex (just as I enjoy life without alcohol) and can accept the other effects of castration. (Loss of muscle mass, increased fatigue, hot flashes, weight problems, fat redistribution, increased risk of osteoporosis, and other possible health problems related to my hypogonadism.)

Hi Andrew!
Elective or not - not quite sure, where to put
myself. I got castrated to get rid of prostate
problems. And I did get rid of a lot of them.
So, health condition took the decision from me?
Not completely so. I don't believe that there
are just the poor guys who had to, and the
strange guys who wanted to. There is no place
to draw a sharp line. As there is no real
line between excuse and explanation. At least
I decided myself to have it done. I could -
maybe not AS well - have taken the mostly
useless medication and a few years later then
have a prostate operation. But I did not like
the idea. And ideas is the point.
Without the idea to be Peter Pan out there in
nowhere land and never want to grow up -
without this idea in the back of my head and of
course o lot of other stuff like this -
without this I would have never decided this way.
Now one could think that the guys who are after
castration without caring for the results must be
really weird, mad and suicidally insane. Well -
maybe a lot, but the people who lament loudest
about others insanity, they are shocked mainly
so much because they know that it could happen
in their own heads.
So in my opinion: two flavours maybe; but the
other side is not so far away.
all the good to you

Re: A question for the elective eunuchs
Individual interests and desires determine what one does or does not do with your body. Some like long hair while others shave their head, I love body piercings and other do not, some like tattoos and others do not, some want their balls and others, like myself wanted them gone. I wanted to be castrated because I did not want my balls. I never wanted them and at age nine asked some friends to try to pull them off. I have always been a submissive bottom gay male so perhaps I was born not wanting balls. Maybe we try to hard to find reasons why we want and like certain foods, interests, and desires. I love my castrated balless body and so do my sex partners. I am, so I think, male looking, acting, and will remain so but I did not want my balls. End of reasons for my elective castration.

but to me esthetics isn't important.
I think a woman with an unsymmetric dull face looking like a

while a beauty miss can be of no interest whatsoever

These have happened to me but I'm minority, I know I should wish all other men get thin scalp hair too in order to make
women like me more but I don't care much enough to really know
if I really care to wish such a thing. It really doesn't matter to me
after all. but I know I SHOULD wish but I don't know if I care to.
I'm happy now too.
makes your veins stick out,
that is NOT TRUE!!!!!
My veins do not stick out at all but I've seen a teen-aged girl
with very outsticking veins on hands and under-arm, I guess
even she had enough underskinfat on her upperarms hiding
her tendency for outsticking veins.
I have never been very thin fatted, although not a lardo either,
so my veins could show more, BUT I can see my veins through
the skin on the outer side of my hands and I notice they go
along side with the bones but between them NEVER CROSSING
my bones, so I'm not sure if I would be very vein-out-sticking as
slim either.
I know this letter must be a bore.
THAT is true. A mans best choice is to be slim.
breasts can be in the way too, I've heard, but one can have them
of sufficient size. I don't mind not having breasts although I would
not mind having breasts either.

I think I have learned to handle the testosterone in my body,
if I have any, my has never been measured and could well be
that I have none and just imagine I do.
I can go on and on.
but there is a place for men too in this world. admit that.
I am not a man.
Fuck no Kel.
Is that really you in that pic and only 19 ???
How could you look just like a normal teen-aged girl?
as I've understood you were at 19 biologically as male as
I for instance.
Kelly_2 (imported) wrote: Mon Mar 04, 2002 7:44 am Those nasty things just take up space at the most inconvenient place.
I notice my testicles only during some movements, a proper
knees-together curtsey is impossible but I have tried that
only during certain sex-fantasies I had the last time half a
year ago, but the curtsey can be done a bit further yet not all
the way if one pushes the testicles
in but unfortunately they don't go in behind the pubic bone but
rather just under the skin in FRONT of my pubic bone and that
is why the curtsey can not be made all the way.
It is very bad that the balls don't get in behind the pubic bones,
very bad, not just because of curtsey-ability but at some few occasions while
lying on my stummick in my bed and raising my upper body with my hands my balls have gone in and my pubic bones have pressed with my body weight my
testicles against the bed. OUUUUUUUCHHH!!!
but fortunately that has not happened since because I can unconsiously avoid it.
Everytime I rise from bed from a lying state to upstand I feel my
balls having trouble between my thighs but that doesn't hurt at
all, it just feels a bit uncomfortable for as long as I haven't
reached straight up position. For instance I might put my socks
on durin this time my balls are maybe under my ass on the back
side of my body.
are you still reading this?

but you use dress.
I must say from that pic of yours that I'm happy for you on the
behalf of your good taste. You look like a totally natural and
normal woman, it is wise not to make oneself up, I think
make up messes a woman to look like some
horror-sphinx-goddess from ancient Egypt.
Of course discrete make-up, to enlarge lips and hide whatever
a woman wants to hide to feel happy, is OK.

The two best things that you can say to a TS woman are:
1) Refer to her using feminine pronouns, and,
2) Let her know or think that she looks like a she.
So, thanks!!!
That is me on my 19th birthday (24 years ago). I insisted on having long hair since I was a child because I desperately wanted to look like a girl because I desperately wanted to be accepted as one. I am, of course, mentally female. I hated my body, though, because it said that I was a boy. Imagine what that is like.
If my ruse in the photo with my nice hairdo and my mother's blouse makes me look like a girl, then my intent was successful. Again, thanks!! I needed that then.
(of course, I still need it now! <giggles>)
Much love,
Kelly

Androgens, testosterone especially, do no good, but cause people to end up looking like men and wanting to play with their ugly weenies. It causes hair to grow all over your body, lowers your voice, thins your scalp hair, makes your veins stick out, distributes fat in the wrong places, prevents breast development, make people act like jerks...
Isn't testosterone also the reason why men are usually stronger than women?
Having physical strength is useful when you need to do heavy lifting.

...I believe that we should have nothing but ELECTIVE EUNUCHS in political office. That way we would have no more of the Monica Lewensky or Paula Jones crap.
Hell, just hink how much better off Teddy Kennedy and Gary Condit would be! Besides that, two dead women might still be alive.

Indeed, it is precisely the hormone testosterone that enables men to havestronger muscles and bones then women.
And for those contemplating castration, but who haven't done it yet, be warned. One of the significant effects of castration is that you WILL lose muscle mass. The more muscle you had before castration, the more you will lose. It will turn into fat, and redistribute itself along "eunuchoid" body proportions. You can avoid some or even much of this loss with a vigorous exercise regimine.
But most eunuchs you see without a shirt will exhibit narrower shoulders then intact males, and a lack of muscle definition in the upper torso.

Re: A question for the elective eunuchs
I guess I come closest to being with boots on this one. I wanted to be rid of my balls and had wanted to be for a very long time before finally having it done. As in the case of many others, it had become an obsession and fixation, a very demanding one. I felt I'd never be able to rest 'til I'd lost em. So I heartily jumped at the chance when someone finally agreed to take them. I'm nonetheless very masculine acting. Most of my friends and lovers are as well. All have accepted my balllessness. I accept it as well and am still seldom shy about disrobing and showing off my lack of balls.

I hated my body, though, because it said that I was a boy.
I just looked at that picture and thought that behind that
female fasade is actually a boy and it made me feel disgusted
but in less than a second I thought that is YOU, Kelly, and that
she in mind is a TRUE CREDIBLE female, a TRUE CREDIBLE girl in mind, and thus her body doesn't
matter, she IS a girl as much as any girl. A girls body is just
a girls body, THAT PICTURE IS A PICTURE OF A TRUE GIRL.
SHE IS A CREDIBLE GIRL IN SOUL AND THAT MAKES HER
HAIR A GIRLS HAIR IT MAKES HER A GIRL NO MATTER WHAT
SHE HAS BETWEEN HER LEGS.
if some boy would fasade himself to a girl as a joke I could be
fooled but when realizing I would be very disgusted.
but one cannot get disgusted at you dressing girl because
you are A CREDIBLE GIRL. A TRUE GIRL IN SOUL. IT SHINES
FROM YOUR HAIR.
so you hated your body unnecessarily, your body did not make
you not beeing a girl. you were a girl already then.
now you are a woman in body, it is good because now you are
a woman, without the surgery you would still be a girl, because
you had the spirit although not body. but now you are a WOMAN.
Now you are a woman in spirit, hormones and body.
as a girl you were a true girl in mind, in spirit.
and that made you a true girl.
but now you have all the physical too to enjoy in physical life.

Re: A question for the elective eunuchs
Hi!
This is my first post to the EA.
I am 29 yrs, straight male. I want to get castrated for high libido only.
No HRT for me!
Can anyone tell me what kind of things to expect? I have read SJC's info. and while I'm sure some of it occurs, the same does not happen to all elective eunuchs. I understand that those are SJC's personal experiences -mostly.
I am looking for info. from young eunuch guys who have been down this road, who have been castrated and yet present as normal males. Who work, earn and succeed in their career, and play some sports just like other guys!
Only, they don't have an insatiable libido.
Do all eunuchs become weaker than intact males?
Do all eunuchs lose their energy?
I would like to get good, honest answers from all eunuchs in the same situation as myself.
Personal emails ([email protected]) welcome or post at the EA.
Thanks for reading and I look forwards to hearing some replies!
