Attention users.

Post by talula »

Our fearless leader is sick with the flu. Just got off the phone with him and his voice sounds like a squeeky little bug.

I'm sure that a email to him would be welcome as he really sounds terrible and I am sure can use abit of happiness in another-wise gut wrenching, lung throwing time.

his address is:

[email protected]

Or post something here.

Talk to you all.

Well, how's about doing both?

Bboy, a thousand lashes with a wet noodle for not letting us know you are under the weather. But then, that's the kind of guy you are isn't it?

Get well soon, my friend! We love you and we need you!

Get well soon, please. Just out of curiosity, did you have a flu shot? I have one every year, and have never had the flu since I started doing so.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery too from this side of the pond. By the way, isn't there another more valid reason for the "sqeaky voice?"

Castration will NOT cause an adult male's voice to change to soprano and/or go squeeky.πŸ“– πŸ“– πŸ“–

fellows, no shit. I damned near ended up with Pneumonia from this bug. It is viral, but it taxes your immune system so much that you end up getting the first bacterial infection that comes along, and then you REALLY get sick.

My advice to anybody who gets this is to get a good Doc to have prescribed 7 - 10 days worth of the best broad-spectrum anti-biotic that he can think of and take it until it is all gone.

The sputum that you produce with this is not the traditional yellow or green but starts like a white, frothy, nasty tasting sputum about like watery whipped creme. You manufacture it in copious amounts. It goes straight to your lungs and causes bronchial infiltrates that rapidly develop into pneumonia. Nebulizer treatments is the only thing that kept me from getting down. After 4 weeks I still have bronchitis and a naggy cough.

IT IS A BAAAAD BUG.

Tell b-boy to get to a doctor, pronto!

A-1 ... I just got over this, sort of.

Still have rattling lungs and coughing with some phlegm, a bit, and it's been two weeks. It hit hard and fast, and the sinus infection it let in got me. Of course, it TRIED to turn into pneumonia ... but it failed. Headaches, pressure, and huge amounts of phlegm with the body aches. Thank Christ for the neighbor with a broken leg and her Vicoden. I was taking three times the normal doses of three different antihistamines plus ephedrine (mini thins), and no effect.

Advice - DO NOT grind mini-thins into powder and snort it! DO NOT grind Contac severe cold formula into power and brew it into coffee, ten scoops per five cups ...

What finally killed it, I think, was the echinacea, orange juice, twelve multi vitamins a day, and four packs of nonfiltered menthol cigarettes per day on top of it - in addition to all the drugs, of course. Burn out those sinuses!

Hmmm, on 2nd thought, THIS could be why my lungs are rattling ... 🚬 🚬 🚬 🚬

πŸ˜„ Please tell me that you are kidding about the Kool non-filters. I haven't smoked one of those since I was 17. (My God, over 30 years ago)

Anyway, smoking is O.K. for the James Dean types. Unfortunately, he has been dead since 1957. For the rest of us it is a (KOOL) fantasy, or at least it ought to be. πŸ˜„

If not, for safety's sake go have a line tattooed about 1 centimeter below your nipple line. When the lungs fill up to the line then you should quit for sure! πŸ˜„

Marlboro menthol with the filter snipped off.

Kool sucks!

And cigarettes didn't kill James Dean, ya know. A car did.

He may have dropped a cigarette into his lap & was thus too distracted to avoid an accident.

Thera-Flu, camel nonfilters, and a seventy hour work week. Hell that'll reduce your sex drive faster than a fat lady, with a yeast infection on a torn up mattress.

You young lads don't know how good you have it. Now get back to work, all-ya-all.
