It appears it is time for the masters of the Eunuch Archive to begin the search party for poor MacWolf. Certainly someone has his cell phone number and can check as to his where abouts.. I hope he is well.. I hope the vagabonds have not taken him for ransom.

One problem, however. It's been so long since I've been offline, I have forgotten how to log into chat. Will someone please give me our chat address. I recall it was darkstar something. See, ten days offline and my brain ceases to function.

In many states, if you are on any form of Public Assistance, the State provides with a cell phone at no charge.

I'm going to give some of the diary entries I keep while I was offline nine days.
SATURDAY - Moved into new place but my mouse and keyboard no longer functioned.
SUNDAY - As I was walking back from grabbing a burger, LIz passed on a bike as I entered my yard. UGH
MONDAY - Ken took me to Walmart where I bought new shoes. He then drove me to Best Buy where I bought a new Mini-Mac computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, mousepad for $900. No online yet and I can't even do word processing till I get Office Mac from Ken. Just a pretty box with colored lights ATM.
TUESDAY - Time Warner failed to show up. grrrrrr. Ken brought up and installed Office Mac - yay. Ten minutes after Ken left, Liz showed up at my door. UGH.
WEDNESDAY - I took a bus to Wally World for miscellaneous items: waste basket, icecube trays, a cheap watch, oven mits, backpack and a microwave. Since I couldn't carry the microwave, I took a taxi home. As soon as the taxi entered my driveway, Liz was there waiting. UGH. An hour later Jeanette shows up - UGH
THURSDAY - I went to the podiatrist over my left big toe with the ingrown nail. However, I had hurt my right toe and it was infected. He gave me a pain shot, removed the toe nail, scrubbed it with iodine and bandaged it. Medicare paid for everything. I went to Time Warner and set up a new appointment for Monday. Then I went to mall and had my sunglasses fixed. From there I went to my credit union to get them to unlock my ATM card. I had forgotten my PIN.
FRIDAY - I spent the day reorganizing my history files. Actually, every night I worked on my history files or was reading new novels.
SATURDAY - I spent all day on history and reading my novels.
SUNDAY - I accidentally locked myself out of the apartment and spent $140 on a locksmith. At 2:15, Liz and Jeanette were at my door again and stayed for an hour. UGH 1:31 am I awoke with my first panic attack in years. I did 30 minutes of research on the Nez Perce and it went away.
MONDAY - Time Warner was here by 2:55pm and I was online 90 minutes later.

I would suggest you tell liz and crew they are not welcome and call the cops whenever they show up. Otherwise you'll have them taking over your apartment.

Call the damn police on these parasites, and/or notify the landlord and have them removed.
If they are hanging around the apartments, without consent, they are trespassing.
Case closed.

It's good to know that the wolf is back in a den, even if it is not quite
quiet and safe yet.
Try your best to make it unattractive to the leaches.
Best Wishes for a peaceful future.

How the hell did they find out where you live? Why would you ever let them inside your apartment?

Mac, you seriously need to discuss this with the landlord, or whoever runs the apartment complex you've moved into. You need to tell him/her at once that these people are not welcome, and let the apartment administration deal with it.
If you don't, and there are complaints, or they feel that the parasites may be sneaking in to live there, you could be evicted over that. Complexes like this don't take kindly to such matters. You need to get this proverbial ball into their court right now. I don't know how they feel about guests, but these are guests that you don't want.
Most of the places around here, in fact, require notice and permission for residents to even have the grandkids overnight.

Mac, I am glad you have a safer home. Keep those people away and you owe them nothing. As everyone has said call the police and inform rental management. Wish I could be there for a housewarming party. Do you have any pressing household needs?
I was sorry to read you had to call a locksmith. Most rental offices have duplicate keys and an emergency number if that happens again. I may have to become a locksmith. Sounds like good money.

I was walking home from getting a burger and Liz was riding by on her bike and saw me enter my yard. As to why I let them in, I was depressed and lonely with no phone, internet or TV. Not even a radio to listen. All that is changed now, I'm online and happy and don't need unwanted guests.

This isn't an apartment complex. I live in a remodeled garage in back of a single house. I've told my friends in the house that Liz etc are unwanted guests. There is a gate across the driveway but they never keep it locked. It's up to me alone to make Liz etc unwelcome and I plan to do my best.

No rental office to go through here. My landlord runs his own mom & pop store downtown. I'm careful to carry my keys on my person 24/7 now. If necessary, I'll sew a key pouch to my inner thigh. Kinky huh.

At the moment, I'm awaiting a call from my realtor. He wants to meet me at my bank so I can give him an extra $950: I borrowed $550 from him to pay my rent before my money came through. Plus I owe him $300 for the deposit and $95 for a miscellaneous bill to the city.
