Old forum FAQ
Does anyone have a copy of the old FAQ? It came in very handy and had much useful information, a part that stood out to me was a section concerning personality changes as measured by the Big Five personality traits, measured between the normal male populace and a sample of eunuchs.

Re: Old forum FAQ
I don't know about where the old EA FAQ went. Maybe the "Way Back" machine would have it?
I ran accross an article that might get a new discussion going.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 6613000469
This article was based on responses from the EA. It deals with personality issues, not physical issues as most articles on the subject do.
We all have different brains with their own chemistries, so... Individual results may vary.

Do you remember which subforum it is in? fhunter has a text only scrape of the old forum.Lineppe'lik wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 9:10 am Does anyone have a copy of the old FAQ? Re: Old forum FAQ
I'm pretty sure it was a sticky, either at the top, or in the general Castration area

Re: Old forum FAQ
Like WheelyFixed I think it was a sticky at the top like our own FAQ here. But considering the two studies linked, it might not be necessary, especially considering these are actual studies.dandelion wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 3:36 pmDo you remember which subforum it is in? fhunter has a text only scrape of the old forum.Lineppe'lik wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 9:10 am Does anyone have a copy of the old FAQ? Re: Old forum FAQ
Studies are great, but they are a bit of a challenge to read, unless you have a lot of science background...
I think our FAQ should be very factual and based on what is IN those studies, but translate them into 'normal English' and be a lot more concise...
I think there is also a need for more information to be available to visitors that don't have an account. Right now there is little visible other than the technical support on getting an account. I'd like to see us have at least a moderately detailed FAQ visible from the outside, with possibly a more detailed version once logged in.
I know that I was very nervous about the idea of creating an account, and am glad that I first found EAv2 at a time when you could read the forums w/o one, just not post. It let me get a bit of a better understanding about what the entire idea of voluntarily getting fixed involved, and helped me decide it was right for me. Later they changed it to requiring registration to see the forums, for reasons that were probably good, but increased the barriers for new visitors.
