Just had an orchiectomy!

Post by AnthonyWolf (imported) »

I just had my orchiectomy today and I'm so happy!

I've been lurking around here for about a year now and I really want to thank everyone on here for all the information about this procedure.

I'm still really sore but I'll keep you all updated with how I'm doing. And if any of you have any questions for me feel free to ask!

Congrats if it makes you happy. No disrespect but do they give you options what to do with your balls? I'm more concerned with having my dick removed someday and never really thought much about my balls. Good luck with your healing.

Thank you, I'm so much happier right now. And no they didn't give me any options with my balls. I didn't even see them, I feel asleep and then woke up and they where gone.

Well so far, I got out of surgery around 8:00, it only took them about a half an hour. When I came to it felt like some one kicked me pretty hard in the crotch but it's been about six hours now and with the help of pain meds and ice it doesn't hurt anymore and no bruising yet.

Congratulations on your castration, did you go to Dr. A., any chance that's who I've been in contact with.

Nope I went with Dr Peter Raphael at the American institute for plastic surgery.

He was a lot closer to me so travel was a lot easier. He requires a letter of recommendation but I have a really nice therapist who helped me with that.

I am surprised by the amount of pain you endured post castration. Your doctor should have provided pain pills to help. Of course 30 minutes is a very fast castration and that may have increased the pain.

Once I had gotten back to my hotel room I took some pain medicine he prescribed. Also he did give me something before I left but I didn't seem to do much.

I was curious as to why a plastic surgeon and not a urologist?

He is very close to me so I didn't have to travel far. Also I don't think a urologist is necessary for such a relitivly simple procedure.

Thanks, I've just always hated having balls as far back as I can remember. and yeah eventually I'd like to get a penectomy, but that'll be a few more years down the road.

Pretty cool that you don't ever have to worry about getting hit in the balls again. That would def have some appeal to me.

Glad you finally accomplished your desires, and I hope you heal quickly. Just be careful of negative side effects, heat flashes, depression, etc. Remember that we're all here if you need to talk!
