EA Poll: Would you do it again?

For castration-related posts that just don’t seem to fit anywhere else.

If you're a eunuch, 1) Are you happy? 2) If you had a choice would you do it again?

I am happy and would get castrated again.

I think the issue with trying to make an accurate scientific study on this topic would be finding a sample group that's representative. People like myself who are happy with the decision to get castrated are relatively easy to find, I'm on several forums and I'm happy to share my experiences. The challenge would be finding people unhappy with their choice to get castrated, those folks tend not to want to share their experiences, they avoid spaces where voluntary castration is discussed, and they likely feel a great deal of shame about the subject. Maybe I'm just projecting how I would feel but I know if I had myself permanently altered and later came to regret the decision I would feel extremely embarrassed, and foolish. This is why any time I talk with someone considering getting castrated I encourage them to proceede with caution and make sure they're 100% certain that they want to be a eunuch. I love being a eunuch but it's a one way trip. I share the sentiment that hopefully someday voluntary castration becomes a more acceptable option for people like us.

I very much agree both on the need to be '1,000% certain' before seeking surgery, and the wish that it was a more acceptable choice (and more easily available...)

In some ways it leaves those of us that are happy with the results in sort of an awkward position... At the same time we want to support others on their journey, I know I feel it is at least as important to talk anyone that isn't certain OUT of it...

Sometimes it feels a bit contradictory to be saying how great it is for me, but that maybe you shouldn't....

Remember when adults would ask you if your friend did something blatantly stupid, would you do it to?

("If Johnny cut his balls off, would you do it to?" - they just wouldn't understand if we said YES!)

Ya, awkward position is right. Its definitely walking a tightrope, I want to help anyone I talk to make an informed decision. I'm always worried that if I'm too enthusiastic about this topic that I'll encourage the wrong person to make a very permanent mistake for themselves. If everyone in the world was like me I would have no problem telling them to go get castrated, and that they won't regret it, but not everyone is like me which is probably a good thing considering that would probably end the human race

Ya, I strongly suspect you're right, they wouldn't understand if we answered yes to that question and they definitely wouldn't expect an enthusiastic "fuck yes!"
