My computer was acting wacky last night. I was typing and suddenly the mouse died. Upon checking, I found out the keyboard had died hence no working mouse.

I hooked in several old keyboards but they were dead. I thought I was going to need a new keyboard. I had the money for one but I needed to find transportation to a computer store.

Before I went to I tried shutting down the entire system. When it came back on, the keyboard was working :)

Is my keyboard old and in need of replacement or is shutting down everything necessary now and then?

Just curious.

Hi,

Are you using a USB (flat connector) or a PS2 (round connector) mouse?

.

I don't think of anything serious, maybe de computer froze, just in case maybe you should check for dust accumulation that can get the computer to overheat easily. In doubt i sure you have a friend around that can have a look at it.

Regards

I think that happens to everyone who uses a computer, usually when several programs are running when suddenly everything freezes up (Except those annoying flashing ads) and it won't accept any input. Occasionally the three finger salute (Ctrl, Alt, Del) will work and I can shut programs down until it works, but most of the time I have to hold the power switch down until the whole think shuts down. Then I have to start it up again and it always reproachfully informs me that because I am such an ignorant dolt and didn't shut windows down properly, it's going to have to check all the disks. Aaargggghh.

It happens a lot with this little e-machine. It freezes frequently. However, without it, I would still be offline!

Miss him! I enjoy his news about himself much more than news about failing financial systems.

I'm back, well..sorta.

My old operating system was 10.4. The one I have to use now is 10.1 until someone sends me a CD with 10.4 OSX for iMac on it.

So far I can't find Yahoo Messenger or check my mail in Yahoo or Google.

Many of my old files weren't opening till I recalled they were established with Microsoft Word. Now they seem to be working.

I'm going off to hunt for my mailboxes and my old Messenger.

Mac, you need a new computer, like a real computer, a PC using VISTA.

on second thought maybe you should stick with a mac if you can afford one.

PC's are a lot cheaper and work just as well but they do require a bit of expertise, yep stick with the mac.
