Is plumbing that expensive nowadays or did I get ripped off?

You got ripped off. Knobs under sink, $5 each at Home Depot, The tubes about $7 each, the faucets anywhere from $29 on up depending on how fancy you got. Double those for his markup. The rest was labor and gotcha

Damn, I thought ass-cracks were free. Oh well, live and learn.

NEXT TIME I'll hire Kristoff and or Bobbie to fix my faucets. Kristoff knows all about interior plumbing after that hose was up inside him so long :)

I talked to my brother-in-law (plumber/plumbing contractor) he thinks in my area $200-$250 including service call and labor would cover it. He also says that he would expect the figure to at least double in California. --FLO--

Strangely, I've been plagued with bouts of depression lately. I'm not sure why and they are not over any particular topic.

I do notice when I get dressed and go out, they seem to subside somewhat :)

If getting up and out into the world helps, tomorrow should be less depressing if a slight more painful.

I get to hoof it up to the Post Office (no bus goes my way) and then a few more miles up to see my tobacconist for my monthly stash of nicotine.

Migraine left - woo hoo

Since I don't have any arthritis in my legs, I walked a mile up to Coco's for breakfast then went another 1.4 miles up to the house of my tobacconist where I picked up 7 pounds of pipe tobacco, three pipes and pipe cleaners.

Now I'm exhausted but not in pain :)

STRANGE

I took my blood sugar this afternoon and it was only 98. It has never been that low before but, that is a good thing.

I walked over to pay Verizon my $220 phone bill so now I'm connected again. No idea why it was so high as I don't make long distance calls.

I then called The Gas Company telling them either I have a leak or my gas meter is insane. They sent me a bill for $465. No way am I paying that.

Gas man is due before 8:00pm tonight.

Are ya familar with the term, "passing the buck?" (no offense to Bambi)

Gas company tech just left. He said it was responsibility of gas tech who was here last night. First gas tech is due today by 4:30pm.

lazy-assed utility company.

I wonder if Gas techs are the same all over the nation?

I'd wager Kristoff or Paolo wouldn't put up with this crap :)
