One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20

I knew I forgot to do something last month. My electric bill came today and I owed $75. I started to write out a check and then suddenly realized I'd only have $20 left for food till February. That's too tight even for my mouse diet.

I called Edison and they said "pay us next month." I'll owe about $175 by then but I won't have to pay this month and I now have money for my gourmet meals at Jack-in-the-Box

First the boring stuff:

I tossed and turned last night from midnight till 2:00 am. I finally got up at 2 and went online till 9:00 am. When I first went online, both the EA and BME were offline....odd.

Now, the fun stuff:

Liz's 15 year old daughter, Jeanette, moved out of my house today into Monty's motor home in the driveway. I somehow don't think she's going to relish his singing, drumming, his meager diet, the winter cold, his 10:00 pm curfew, etc.

I think I'll wait till Liz is gone to make an anonymous to the local school board asking them if they are aware that there is a 15 year girl living here who has NOT attended school in the past year. She needs to continue her education.

My home life just became more complicated. Liz's 22 yr old son has moved in. Nobody asked me if he could move here nor would I have consented. He has caused damage to my home in the past and I want him gone.

I wrote to my attorney to ask how I can get rid of him.

Tonight is typical for the MacWolf house: it's 1:41 am and Liz had no idea where her daughter, Jeanette, is at this hour.

Liz told me earlier that Jeanette told her brother she has been taking the drug, Esctacy

Jeanette finally came home at 7:00 am. Fine time for a 15 year old who doesn't attend school to stay out till

So much for her mom being a nuturing parent.

My friend Terry came by my house at 6:50 am to remind me that a local church was serving breakfast at 7:00 am. We both walked over there and had coffee, scrambled eggs and a biscuit. They did have one other food item that I "refused" to touch - grits. Most times, I can't even stand to look at a plate of grits. The U.S.A.F. tried to get me to eat grits, they failed too.

A perfect breakfast, for me, is two eggs over medium, hash browns, sausage and sourdough toast.

I've eaten worse breakfasts than the above but I'll never resort to grits nor hominy

This is an interesting year for me. I'm 64 years old and 64 was the year I graduated from high school. Hopefully there's a cosmic significance in that

I let Monty in to use the bathroom so he wouldn't do a number 2 in the backyard. Just before he left, he ripped off Liz's aluminium cans she was planning to turn in for food.

Last I saw Monty, Liz was beating him.

I needed exercise last night so I put on my Godzilla suit and tore Monty's new shack apart

His camper is still in my driveway but he used to go out to his shack to play music or play his drums.

Last night, he drummed from 3:00 am to 6:00 am. I cut off his electricity at 3:30 am

Monty had to pay penance today: he had used up all of my duct tape so he fixed the broken window in my bedroom with a sheet of plexiglass.

I love it. The two cats HATE it They used to like sitting in he window every night as I froze.

Monty's window fix was temporary: the cats tore off the duct tape and regained access to "their" window.

On the plus side, my small check came in early so I bought a few groceries and went out and had a decent sit down dinner and enjoyed a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale.

A fence guy came by today offering to put up a new fence for my driveway. I told him to grab wood from the back yard that Monty had taken from dumpsters and trash piles and stored in my backyard without my expressed permission. As the guy was looking through the wood, Monty verbally harassed the guy threatening the fence guy with violence.

I offered to call the police in case the fence guy wanted to press charges against Monty. The fence guy declined saying, "if Monty bothers me again, I'll cold-cock him."

NOTHING makes one quite as vulnernable than discovering one's house has been burglarized. Today, I awoke to see a burglar entering my bedroom closet. I recognized him right away as a street person known for petty crimes. The burglar is called Hamburger. I have no idea what his real name is.

AS it turns out, nothing was missing. Apparently, Hamburger broke in to hide from guys trying to kill him. It seems he owes $$$ to some important people.

I called the police and an officer came out promptly to take the report.

To be honest, I'm glad I live as far from Cali as I do I did pass through a couple years back during the wildfires and got to see an entire hill on fire in the distance but combining driving + trying to take a picture at night didn't work well, the picture didn't come out cept for a tiny orange blob and the date stamp :/ I'm surprised Monty didn't start barking at the guy tho
