It's only 90 degrees and Liz and her friend are sitting on my front porch. They said they needed a break from walking in the heat

I looked at a one-bedroom apartment today: tiny living room, small kitchen (stove only), bath, bedroom: $575 a month and they pay water and trash. By the time I payed for phone, internet and electricity, there's not enough left over for food
I also picked up an application for a PO box.

Perhaps I am seriously mistaken, yet I cannot so far find any reason why you are not qualified for housing assistance, as, for example, with Section 8 housing.

On checking with the San Bernardino County government web sites, there does appear to be suitable housing assistance available, and the above site suggests to me that there may not be much of any delay.
I find myself wondering whether you have thoroughly checked with your county or city housing authority...

Time Warner called today and wanted money. I gave the bastards $195 (mostly past due) though my regular bill for Cable, Phone and Internet is $180.
It pisses me off that Time Warner is offering all three to new customers for only $99.

After checking out several apartments, I have come to the sad conclusion that the first one I looked at was the least expensive. That one is $575 a month plus $300 security deposit. Which means, once I pay electricity, phone and internet, I'll need to start dipping into the house sale money for food, sadly.

Hooray, I found an apartment a mile north of where I live now. It has a living room, bedroom, bath area, fridge, AC and heat, and overhead lights. It's close to businesses and across from the hospital.
Rent is $550 but free utilities. Landlord said he would secure me a stove.

Today, I left a message on my Realtor's answering machine saying, "I found an apartment so I want my money".

Why haven't you been paid yet? Fishy. That should have been done at closing.

I talked to my realtor today. He says there was a hang-up with the city that he's resolving today by shelling out $95

Not true Kristoff, not true. I offered them 10% of my poverty, bills and flies. They said "no".

Good move. I usually make an offer like a blow job. They usually run. I should do one someday in my habit.

My realtor just called to say he's coming over to have me sign final paperwork. He says my money will be slightly more than what I thought. He says I'll have access to my money by Monday.
I just finished talking to Time Warner. They will transfer my service next tuesday to my new address. I'll be paying $70 a month for Internet and Phone
So, I'll be offline sometime after tomorrow till next Tuesday. Aarrgghh I'll go go nuts = no online for up to four days - Rats.

Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
I just called my new landlord to tell him I want to move in Saturday. He said fine as long as I have the $550 in rent money. I then called my realtor saying I needed a $550 advance to pay rent. Realtor said "ok, I'll call you tomorrow."
Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
You should have IMMEDIATE access to the money. Otherwise, not a safe or normal transaction. Fishy. Get a check on the spot - insist. Deposit that immediately. If it bounces call the cops. I have no trust here. You shouldn't have much either. Once the property is signed over, you could just not be paid.

Re: One Day in the Life of a Wolf - Memorial 7-25-20
Ok guys, this is my last post till Tuesday afternoon:
Tomorrow I move to new place. I only hope I'm not too retarded to re-hook my computer back up to use as a word processor for a few days.
Monday, I get access to my house sale money and take out about $1,000 to repay realtor for advancing me rent money, deposit on apartment and $100 just for me. Then I go to Wally World to buy kitchen stuff: pots, pans, dishes, pot holders, mixing bowl, etc. etc. Oh, and I buy my first pair of shoes in years. I've been walking on pavement for years.
Tuesday at 1:00pm Time Warner said they'd be there to reconnect my phone & internet. New TWC bill will be $70 a month.
See you then unless TMC forgets about me - aaarrgghhhhhh
