I was having a real panic attack last night so I walked over to the hospital. The staff weren't happy about seeing me so often so I left.

Talk about the grandaddy of all panic attacks, I have convinced myself I'm going to die today. I really hope I', wrong. I really do.

Mac, you need to relax, take a deep breath and relax, change up your routine, take a walk but in a different direction, visit a pet store and say hello to a kitten.

Seeing my doctor helped. She renewed most of my meds and set me up for counseling a few days a day.

You need to learn how to relax. I know easier said then done however when your brain is going 90 and you want to sleep you must focus on one thing, concentrate on breathing - yes

Breath in,

Breath out,

Breath in,

you get the idea.

With practice and yes it takes practice over several nights but it does work.

Take care,

I've had trouble breathing all day. I'm going to try walk across the street to the hospital.

I'd call the ambulance but it is too confining and claustrophobic.

Today again I awoke with panic attacks. The ambulance was sympathetic and drove me to the closest hospital. The Doc there ordered blood tests, gave me a shot off Ativan and wrote me an Rx for 15 more.

The question I guess is why are you going to the ER on a daily basis? Why are you getting panic attacks, what is causing this? Maybe a yoga class is in order.

I know when the ER keeps seeing the same persons in day after day they start to turn off.

You need to find out what is causing this.

I feel good today. My doctor's office hasn't answered the phone in 5 days. How do I go about getting a new doctor?

I walked three black south to a facility called Urgent Care. They checked me out and gave me two Rx's for my Shingles pain - an antibiotic Cephhalexin and Norco for pain.

I have 13 Ativan pills left but am trying to not take them. I have a panic attack as we speak but knowing I have pills in a bottle helps me fight the urge to take one.

Oh for fuck's sake you need an antiviral not an antibiotic. Valtrex or it's generic is what most doctors prescribe for shingles and herpes.

No but you can talk to your doctor and bitch at him for the right drugs. At the very least he/she will then need to reevaluate their decision as to which drugs you should have.

An informed person is one who stays alive.

Another panic hit today despite me taking the right meds. I walked to Urgent Care where Dr. Kim prescribed Xanax. I just took one - I'll see if it works.

Agewise, aren't you WAY older?

I haven't checked into the local ER room in several days. My new lady doctor gave me two months worth of ZAnax :)
