This thread must be contaminated by Typhoid-Mackie here, because now I've got it.

All I can do is sit here and drip and sneeze. What's unusual is that I don't often get stuff like this, and if I do, it's normally gone in 12 hours. This one's lingered for over 24 now.

I've had this for 48 hours now. Maybe it is Typhoid Mackie. Mine is a wee bit better: no sneezing or running nose. Cough is still full force but I managed to eat today.

Mine's turning into bronchitis. I started blowing out and hacking up colored stuff that ran for cover when I spit it out today.

Get to a doctor. That's advice from someone who has seen what a "cold" can become.

Well, I just had a fun three days. Friday morning at 3:00am I was experiencing severe stomach cramps. I started to walk to the Er across the street but was in too much pain so I called an ambulance. FRom a description of the pain I gave the doctor, she deduced it was being caused by my pancreas or gall bladder or both. After a CAT Scan and an ultrasound, it was determined a gall stone was pressing against the pancreas causing it to be inflamed.

I was admitted to a sixth floor room. There I met with a surgeon who said I had an inflamed pancreas and he prescribed 48 hours with no food or liquid and as many pain shots as I needed.

By Monday afternoon, the pain had gone away and the surgeon said we'll wait a few more days then you need to have your gall bladder removed. I agreed. About 3:00pm I began having a panic attack and had experienced 12 hours of hiccups. I asked for Xanax for the panic attacks but it hadn't been prescribed by the sixth floor doctor.

As the panic attacked became more severe, my shingles was hurting like hell and all my meds for it was home. By 3:00 am Monday. I informed the nursing staff I was checking myself out.

Once I got back home, I took my Xanax, my hiccups stopped, I applied a soothing salve to my shingles and went to bed. I was asleep in minutes.

I received a call from my health care provider: they said a visiting nurse is coming to see me today or tomorrow. Gee, I feel special.

Nah, she was only here ten minutes. When she found out I can take a bus to buy groceries and walk, she said I didn't qualify for In Home Supportive Services.

I took a bus to the neighboring town of Loma Linda is to their hospital. I had an appointment, or so I thought, with an ophthalmologist. All they did was had me read eye charts, they put three drops in each eye then had me wait 30 minutes. Then they took several pix of each eye.

While I was there I made an appointment with the ophthalmologist for December 21.

One to three men entered the Inland Regional CEnter and began shooting. So far, 14 people are dead and many wounded. No suspects in custody yet. Downtown businesses were told to close.

A tragedy, indeed. It is good for me to know that Mr. Wolf was not in danger. --FLO--

I paid all my bills this month and I feel good about it. My Verizon bill was $86.00 but that is for Internet and phone. When I was on Time Warner, the bill was over $120.00 monthly. Much better now :)

My doc put me back on insulin. I was supposed to do my first injection last night but I was too nervous. I did it at 9:00 am and itv was sooooo easy. I'm happy with myself now and am going out to reward myself with breakfast.

I went to see my ophthalmologist for what I thought was lasik eye surgery but it was just the evaluation. I need to call back to see when my lasik can be scheduled.
