Today is the winter solstice and that alone gives me something to celebrate. Warmer days are coming, even if they are not coming any time soon.
Whatever you believe, I hope you find comfort and happiness with family and/or friends who cherish you.

I've been drug through several Christian religious things this season by good friends who have the best intentions and who are trying to get me back to the church. I don't have the heart to tell them that I left the church because it's all mythology, so I just go along and mouth the safe old platitudes..."Yes, we're all washed in the blood, thanks for asking..." etc. etc. My interpretation of the First Amendment, the establishment clause, is that I am free FROM religion if that is my choice. Thank You Nonexistent Jesus! There is no Jesus, and I am his prophet. Heh heh heh.

Hope some of you will get your wish of an empty sack this coming year![]()
