I can sympathise with having debt/financial issues, it's a pain especially when you are also trying to make important personal changes. As if changing gender isn't enough to keep you occupied...

Good luck for your surgery. I hope it goes really well. I'm looking forward to the time when I have GRS surgery, but that's still a long time away for me.
I'm giving up smoking too - today I saw my doctor and got two weeks worth of nicotine patches, as well as some gum. I hope it works.

Re: not gay, but bi?
I think people get too hung up on labels, especially when it comes to sexuality. If you've had fantasies about sucking a guy off, why don't you try it once and see if you like it, rather than worry about what people are going to label you as? You don't have to put yourself into a box.

Congrats
It's good to know some of your family are behind you. This must feel really good after your brother in California's response.

Re: Just thought I'd introduce myself...
The important thing is what you identify as inside. If you've got a male body but feel like you're female (or vice versa) then gender reassignment can help. But yes, you can't chop off a guys genitals and then turn them into a woman and expect them to identify as female.

I think it's great that your place of work is getting behind your transition. All the best for it.

Re: Transitioning at work and in all of my life
Some women have lower voices than men but you still react to them as feminine voices - it's all about the way you use your voice (i.e. phrasing) rather than the pitch. You can either find some technique which teaches you how to talk like a women does or listen to other women and try to copy the way ...

Re: Transitioning at work and in all of my life
I find some christians very odd. You would think if they followed the teachings of Christ (which I think is central to being a Christian) they would love one another and not judge others. But some people have a very narrow point of view of what being a christian is, they tend to condemn people to ...

I'm so disappointed in your brother's reaction. He seems like he's totally wrapped up in his own life that he can't even begin to understand what's going on in yours (or take the time to find out).

For those of you that are just starting down this road of transition or have been considering transition, don't let your fear of the unknown hold you back from being the person you really feel you are. Fear will paralyze you. Take the chance and seize the opportunity. If I can do it, you can too ...

Good luck with it. I'll read what's happening with your transition with great interest (as I'll be going down the same road in a few months). May it lead to great happiness

Re: Family - how to tell them about transgender-eunuch ID? How much to say in first note?

I have no doubt that I will run across some ...

Re: Family - how to tell them about transgender-eunuch ID? How much to say in first note?
The problem I've had with the terms "transgender" and "transsexual" is that I've found that some people tend to have their own definitions for each term so if someone uses the word "transgender" to me I sometimes have to ask them what do you mean by that?

Re: Pursuing a dream
I would want to think this through if I were you. Have you ever considered having therapy? Your desire to want to see your testicles mashed to a pulp with you watching it raises some alarm bells for me. It does sound a lot like a fantasy to me. Fantasy and reality are two different things and if you ...
